both would be pretty amazing. Also the video, if you don’t read what the announcement is.....does actually kinda look like two different heroes.

haha that game would be amazing :) and yea I’m similar age group it sounds. Kids (and people) are always gonna believe nonsense without proof, but the internet lends a massive amount of ability to spread misinformation. It’s a huge problem all over the world in seemingly all facets of life. It’s definitely way worse

I distinctly remember when the internet first came into public use everyone telling their kids not to believe or trust anything at face value you see online.

every time I’ve even dipped my toe into Reddit it’s proven one thing - it’s just a bunch of delusional know-it-alls all yelling at each other trying to prove their absolutely pointless arguments.

I’ve heard this before with games and I don’t understand....is there different licensing for video games than for movies or TV shows? Movies are remastered and re-released 50 years later with all the same music. If the music was licensed to the original game...why would there be an issue releasing the same game? Makes

wipeout xl still might be the best racing game i’ve ever played....it also had a soundtrack that collected most of the most popular and best electronica artists of the 90s, which is feat itself that gives it some of the best music in any game. It’s a true classic.

they shoula just bumped the number of games. I know 20 good games for $100 is cheap but these games really are very old. They could have done 25 or 30 or even more and then they could have easily added several RPGs that all the playstation fans want while including the spread of genre games they want.

totally agree - I played WoW for a long time and yea...that shit ain’t real friendships. It is totally ok to have online friends, it’s important to recognize that they are NOT the same thing as real friends in real life and can not replace that. I’d argue that, unfortunately, a huge part of social media is tricking

Do you think the repetitive nature of the game was a specific choice made to make the game kid friendly? Given the toys aspect it’s clear that, at the least, children were taken into account making the game.

Totally agreed. Played all 4 in the good ole days. Semi-related but I really really REALLY hope Switch announces a SNES emulator to match their NES one so that it can be released with a slew of classic JRPGs. I’ve actually been playing the NES emulator a lot and it’s been a lotta fun but....I grew up on those JRPGs -

It’s disturbing that we live in this internet age where everything is acceptable and you have people responding to this article saying we shouldn’t judge what works for him.

Not everything is a grey area. Locking yourself in a cage, not eating or sleeping properly, not bathing, relying on your partner to be your prison

Wellp, I’ll definitely be rebuying those. I’ll wait for a sale though because....I just can’t keep buying Resident Evil games at full price.

Really fantastic discussion, again. This is literally the only podcast I look forward to every week at this point heh.

haha ok cool - thanks for responding! Listening now and it’s great as always!

Was splitscreen episode 150 not posted to Kotaku? It was sooooo gooooood!!!! The discussion on crunch and living in the modern world totally mirror my constant thoughs every day heh. Anyway, gonna listen to this one now!

that is amazing. They should just add a total free for all custom mode where cheats like that exist as does every possible mod and just see what people come up with. It would be a great creative outlet for players and would help keep that stuff separate from the ranked play (and yea...custom fighters really shouldn’t

A lot of the critiques in the article are about innate parts of survival games - random pvp, badly designed pvp, aimlessness, etc. How do you feel it compares to existing survival games and does it do these things better?

oh I agree that they haven’t crossed any extreme lines or anything, I’m not boycotting them it’s not like that. Cyberpunk is just one specific genre that’s really political, unlike fantasy which, if anything, is often conservative/authoritarian (and I love fantasy don’t get me wrong). I’m definitely interested to see

I get the reasons, I just think it’s easy for a company with a lot of money to put out a sleek looking preview/trailer/demo/etc. and still have the game be a disappointment, therefore making those reasons moot. Cyberpunk in particular is a specific genre of scifi and it comes with a LOT of politics, something the

I watched most of it. Looks fine. Trailers and previews etc. are specifically designed to sell games, it has little bearing on the actual game itself and I always try to hold judgment until the actual game is out. There are some companies I know make games I generally enjoy, so I build some potential interest out of
