a sequel would be incredible!!! Rogue Legacy was so good...I actually kinda wanna go back and play it now haha

I played Stellaris a solid 100 hours or so, the beginning and mid game is really fun but late game, I felt, got really messy and repetitive. There’s been a ton of updates, but they also release A LOT of expensive DLC, and I dunno if any of this solves the end game problem.

you left out Metroid Prime 4!!!!!

also i’m preordering like $400 worth of games now lol

is Artifact supposed to be good? I’ve heard literally nothing about it. I love card games but....most of them are not good.

agreed! demo version would be brilliant. And adding the radiant mode was a great idea for folks who don’t want to spend as much time on it. It takes a solid 40-50 hours to beat the first time around on normal mode. To be fair, I SHOULD have less hours but I restarted my hardmode a few times cuz i took breaks in

Darkest Dungeon def is not for everyone but that game is a fucking masterpiece. It’s like the only single player game that has entirely sucked me in to playing it over and over in the last several years. That hasn’t happened to me since Civ 5 first came out 8 years ago. I’ve got nearly 200 hours in it on my PC, still

Darkest Dungeon....it is the roguelike to end all roguelikes.

Slay the Spire is great, though it needs a bit more in it because it’s pretty repetitive for a roguelike. I bought it on Steam but I’ll....probably be buying it for Switch because I love card games and I love original fantasy and strategy ideas and it definitely has all three.

Really great article. I remember LJ well....it’s probably the only form of social media I found genuinely useful. Most of the arguing I saw was, I thought, often productive in that even if people were yelling at each other people were still discussing serious issues, but I was also in several very political LJ

Switch is turning into a portable indie obsession for me. There’s so many amazing indie games that are equally fun portable and on TV and I’m playing them so much more cuz I can alternate between both.....ughhhhh Switch so goooood!

I’m drowning in Switch downloads....and it’s great. I haven’t had a console since the original Wii release and haven’t had a handheld in almost as long so the Switch kinda makes me feel like a kid again. It’s tons of fun to be able to swap between couch and bed play. I’m currently playing.....Battle Chef Brigade,

I had a nerdy workout group for ~2 years, we’d hang out, talk about video games and quote conan the barbarian while lifting, but it fell apart cuz of life - people moving, time, etc. etc. It was amazing, I was in the best shape of my life and it helped my depression a lot. I’d give anything for a core work out nerd

I bought Diablo 3 at launch and got some solid fun out of it for a few months. I played it a couple times over the years with friends for short bursts. It’s definitely fun, and the improvements made are pretty solid, but I still can’t get into hack and slash games any more....I literally fell asleep at my keyboard

Unfortunately typical response by police. I’ve worked with a couple really good cops but have also mostly had interactions with really terrible ones. By cops own admission: you should NEVER trust police. Police are, by law, allowed and encouraged to lie to you and manipulate you. It is a crucial part of their job and

“Humans just suck in general”

well thank god police aren’t human!

Tim you always have great recs, I’ll definitely check out Elliott Quest now - thanks!

Thankyou for defending cauliflower....it is amazing.

I took an educated guess, and by your own admission I was correct. So you think your friends who did that should go to jail? or do you draw arbitrary lines based on who you know?

I don’t live in a utopian society, you just live in an ignorant one. There are not truly bad people out there, in fact, I’ve worked directly

“just because you are poor or whatever” you are clearly an enlightened individual.

I don’t know how to explain to you that a human being should not be locked in a cell for stealing video game money or, for that matter, that the solution to crime isn’t laws, it’s reducing poverty - something that has been proven right by virtually every single real life example and theoretical scenario.
