Friend of mine kept buying pretty beat Trooper IIs and just running them into the ground. Those are tough trucks. Not quick but they’ll get the job done.

Sure, Tracker was still considered feminine, but Samurai got the same CR scarlet letter as the Trooper and that’s hard to get rid of. I bet it was one of the biggest reasons for its ceased import.

Previas only got up to 161hp (S/C) but the traction on All-Tracs is immense.

The heater actually works faster on my Previas than any other car I’ve had. For S/C, note that any 96 or 97 you find will be S/C, and most 95s too. I wouldn’t say it’s a must, and it has its own stuff to be aware of (“black flakes” in the IACV) but if it’s well taken care of, they’re sensational.
