An argument not brought up here was this: Take2 and Rockstar actively encouraged the modding scene. Even contributing themselves to the Multi Theft Auto project.
An additional thing missing from GTA III is the top down view as I was trying for hours to finish my rampages to get 100% completion and I was stuck on the flamethrower the cartel one and one of the cheap ways to do it in the past is to top down and go to the hedges in the backyard and flame through that. Also when…
Take-Two definitely showed their ass on this one.
lets remember this the next time take-two and rockstar decide to release a game. Stop funding this crap. Every dollar not in their pockets, is one less dollar they have to sue people solely so they can make an extra buck. On the flip side , picture instead them putting these games out with some of the best mods…
Regardless of who wins, Take-Two going after modders for improving and fixing decades-old games is garbage, especially when you see so many other companies handling that much better.
Rockstar like so many of my favorite development teams, is a hollow and pathetic shell of what they once were.
I don’t like their odds, but best of luck to them.
Maybe it would be a better idea for TT or R* to hire these modders to fix their broken game.... ah who am I kidding. They’d rather sue and win money than fix their disastrous definitive distraction.
Yeah and besides that, unless you are min/maxing your Pokémon for competitive play (which is a separate tedious problem with an easy fix they refuse to use), it’s easy to get any brand new Pokémon at least usable whatever part of the story you are at in only a few minutes.
In every game with EXP share, I simply switch my team around any time my Pokemon get overpowered. If you have to start with a “new” team after every gym, it makes it a lot more interesting. It gives me the opportunity to try out way more unique Pokemon, but EXP share lets me do so without having to grind…
Game Informer hits the problem right on the head. The idea that you should make EXP Share mandatory but then not put an ounce of effort into balancing the game around the EXP Share being mandatory is flat-out garbage game design any way you slice it.
jfc that’s a clickbaity headline.
Imagine if there was a horn that just yelled SEGA!!!!!! I guarantee it would be the most used horn of the bunch.
They absolutely can do that, a judge could take one look at this and know it’s bullshit but it costs a lot of money to even get to that point.
Except New Coke was actually pretty good (supposedly; I’m too young to have had any in the original run and too poor to have bought any of the Stranger Things rerelease) and was basically hated for being different rather than being not as good, while GTA Trilogy is objectively worse than what it replaced. (Note that I…
Roughly? October 13th 2017
I don’t HATE them, but I also can’t ignore what’s wrong. In my impressions from yesterday I shared what I liked and I do think, outside of visual bugs and the rain, the world and cities look great. I even like some of the models. (Claude looks great, i think)
Rockstar is jealous of modders because they do better work than they’ll ever do on a remaster.
It’s raining, it’s pouring
