It’s weird, if you were in the market for K900 and could afford it, this would be the time! I....am not. I’m sure it’s fine. I should probably even think about it.

Why the Epic hate?
At the risk of sounding tone deaf (I prefer optimistic) I see those statistics, acknowledge the sad reality they represent, but also point to the 66% chance of improving your economic situation.
This whole discussion about the risk/reward of opening up businesses gets politicians twisted up into this big old red herring “either or” choice about where our priorities really are, human lives, or the economy.
A. The Taycan is a significantly larger, better performing, nicer car than the 3. Compare it to an S.
“It costs $400,000 to fire this weapon for 12 seconds.”
Fucking serious? Have all of Jalopnik editors lost their balls? Does anyone else remember a time when illegal cannonball runs were organized by auto mag editors??
Thanks for the tip. With the exception of David Tracy, Jalop has become increasingly like their late brethren, Deadspin.
I really have no interest in this argument, but I can’t help myself from pointing out that the second chart you posted there is a crime against statistics. Whoever made that chart should be ashamed of themselves, and you should assume everything they say is a lie.
Except the double stroller and the trunk don’t agree with you.
I want to do an 2.0/2.3 eco and IRS swap into a 1994-98 model so bad. No one cares about them so they are SUPER cheap.
If the interest ever comes back, I4 Ecoboost into Foxbody swaps seem pretty badass IMO. You could have something really special. I’ve seen a few on Youtube and they suit those cars really well.
An unfortunate result of the overall market preferring suv’s to cars. They can only buy so many versas and accents. I can’t count the many times I’ve rented a fullsize only to hsve them to get me to accept an ecosport!
Same thing happened to us yesterday. Our 340i M Sport is in the shop getting the bumper repainted so we needed a rental. Guess what we got? Brand new Murano. While I don’t hate SUVs (CUVs are another story), I absolutely hate driving them.
You need to use National or one of the ones where you pick your own car. I travel way too much to be assigned some Dodge Journey or other miserable shitbox.
That’s funny, my mom has had to have 2 rentals while her old RAV4 was in the shop, the first was a 2010 Mazda 3 that I loved, and a 2013-2015 Hyundai Elantra that was decent.
I thought the same thing ... then my aisle was full of CUVs :-(
Thanks for the context the article lacked in its zeal to dis GM.
I’d hesitate to call the Focus Electric a proper response. It was a compliance car built on the platform never intended to host an EV powertrain, and it was sold in limited areas.
The Bolt had its own platform and saw a mass-market release, making it a proper response to other full-fledged EV competition. The Mustang…
