Another use for this that is also related to camping. When I was in Boy Scouts, the parents with Fords (invariably an Explorer in the 90s); their kids could just go back to their parents’ car to get things without needing to get the keys.

There are just so many better options out on the market. First to come to mind to me is an Accord. Any Accord with an F-series or K-series engine is likely to last.

That was my thought as well. If, may the Gods forbid, I require to purchase a van like this, I may go for something more trucky. Like a GM or Ford full size van.
