By sheer numbers, no it won’t hustle around a track faster than other FWD cars. The B16 engine was impressive when it was released in 1989, mediocre in 1999, and pretty low in 2019. But in terms of chassis and suspension setup, these cars are 2nd to none. I don’t think anyone will ever do another FWD car like this…

I politely disagree. I like the simple and clean styling, and this is one of the best setup Civics that Honda ever made. I really can’t think of a better front wheel drive sports car other than the Integra Type R or a an original generation Civic Type R.

The only thing is that the 6th gen Si’s suspension is better than the RSX-S’s. In fact, I don’t think Honda has ever done a better suspension on the Civic than it did with the 6th gen Si and the ‘01 Integra Type R.

I don’t think that’s completely fair. GM is capable of making a good car. They know how to make good engines, and they certainly know how to make a good truck.

Let’s ignore that your idea is possible and say it is an issue. This seems like this is the sort of situation that could be covered by local ordinances and laws enacted by elected leaders. It’s not like we need to artificially create an extra layer of governance just to cover minor nuisances.

I think that’s a conversation that’s long overdue. Some sort of international scheme to share the cost of policing the oceans.
