Alas, I’ve tried several times to upload a pic but Kinja remains a POS.

A few weeks ago I found a Ziploc full of Kool-Aid packets from the mid-90s and I wondered if they were worth anything. This is intriguing.
Every stylist I’ve ever gone to has done that to me, too. And I undo it as soon as I get home. Bleh.
I’m an hourly office drone. If I don’t take a lunch that’s an extra hour on my paycheck every day, which is paid at the overtime rate if I work my usual 40 hours that week (I almost always do, since I have depressingly little PTO). This amounts to several hundred dollars in extra pay every month, thousands over the…
My aunt, who is an industrial hygiene consultant, attended a continuing education seminar where the presenter swabbed everyone’s phone screens and then sent them the results via email later. And my aunt, who has Seen Some Shit, was blown away by what was on her screen.

I have friends and family who keep telling me that I should buy a house because I could get a mortgage payment that’s lower than an apartment rental around here and I keep telling them the mortgage isn’t the problem. It’s all this other stuff you’ve laid out here, PLUS if the roof or the furnace or the water heater…
I’ve got a lot of packing lists, as well. Plus summer vs winter versions, since the clothing needs are so different.
My mom and I make a doctored up cheese spread that uses Merkt’s cheddar as the base and people lose their minds over it. We make it at Christmas and give it away to friends and family with crackers or whatever.
I can’t use wooden or silicone utensils for testing food because I can taste them. Am I the only one?
I haven’t yet, but thanks to you I’m adding her stuff to my Amazon list. Thank you!
I work with someone who voted third party and whenever she comes in my office and bitches about the latest GOP assholery it’s all I can do to not scream at her.
This is one of my favorite ways to eat berries.
I re-read Mary Balogh’s Slightly series like once a year.
Tricky is right—I’ve made quite a few things that turned into what was basically gelatin. None of them were supposed to be gelatin.
My step-dad, who is a huge bread junkie, is managing his diabetes with diet, so we’ve switched to using those hash brown patties in place of bread for a lot of breakfast meals, including Benedicts and the sausage gravy/fried egg combo you mentioned, and I honestly prefer it to bread products now. Lower carb meals,…
Came here to plug Fever Tree, too. Love it.
I bought some CBD oil in hopes it would help with my knee surgery recovery (pain, trouble sleeping, stomach issues, anxiety about money etc) but 63 bucks and some nasty tasting drops did bupkis for any of it.
This was the first time in my adult life I owed, to the tune of about a grand. I do not consider that a tax cut.
I spent two years battling PF too and tried it all: ice, stretches, splints, injections, PT, taping, orthotics, balms, TENS therapy, acupuncture—I’m probably forgetting a few things. It just kept getting worse. Finally a chiropractor did Graston on me, and two treatments later it was gone. It was like a miracle.
Every year for the three years I’ve been on an ACA plan the plan I was on was discontinued and replaced by a plan that covered less and cost more. I started out paying about 350 a month for a plan with a 6200 out of pocket max, now it’s 700 a month for an 8k out of pocket. It’s so dispiriting.
