I really wish Netflix would put a deadline on all the TV shows and movies so I can decide what to watch first if they expire sooner than the others. I am on Season 6 of X-Files and tryin to finish everything by April 1...

I guess entitlement comes into it, but Netflix is definitely coming to the tipping point for me. I bought Netflix because I enjoyed the fresh, fairly new variety. It’s starting to become stale and less attractive.

Um no, a signal light does not give the driver the right to cut in, drive through or turn into anything.

Heartbreaking. I couldn’t really deal with being there. So I said my final goodbyes by myself earlier last week, by going to all my favorite landmarks, and finally logging off in Glenden Wood. A place I would gather with long forgotten friends, so very long ago.

Ah crazy. especially that it’s a senior doing just that.

Dual Client launcher - allowed you to log into 2 (or more) accounts at once. I used to run this with upwards of 3 instances of the game, but other people have done 9+ (that’s a full group).

It didn’t come together, and once Standing Stone broke off to be its own company, they no longer had control over AC. It was pretty disappointing.

“A time to call my own.”
I cried when I saw this on the AC subreddit a few days ago, and I’m crying now.

Asheron’s Call brought together some amazing people to form bonds and communities that will last beyond the game. If you told someone you played on Leafcull, or Darktide, or Thistledown, it was like a marker of your

I can perfectly understand this, because i’ve been playing Asheron’s Call on and off since 2000-2001. I haven’t played in a while, but i’m still sad I can’t revisit my characters once the servers go down.

I can’t watch this. The death of AC is already giving me all kinds of feels and this will be too much.

My bad

Fare thee well, best MMO ever made. I will always remember you and the friends I made.

It needs people to maintain the servers and infrastructure, it needs customer support, it needs to maintain a GM staff (even if it is in-game volunteers, people need to coordinate), and it needs people who can fix bugs and security issues as needed.

Microsoft stopped handling AC 12 years ago.

Asheron’s Call was one of the best MMOs, it never got the respect it deserved.

I played AC from 99 until the mid 00's. Was such a good game and met a ton of great people through it. I fully understand where he is coming from. Sad days when a good MMO gets sent out to pasture.

Sounds like my dating life.

I’ve often thought MMOs are a good choice for elderly people. Meet lots of people, strategize, read interesting lore, hang out, be social. Beats dozing in a recliner while “Price Is Right is on”.
