The things ive reported that are somehow within the community standards make me assume that Facebook doesn’t understand the words community, or standards.

So what would they do with my nipples? I’m a trans woman. Were my nipples fine one day and not allowed the next when I announced my transition? How would they know? More importantly, why do they care?

Uh, everyone has nipples because we form them before we differentiate into sexes. They are human, and not male or female. I don’t know why this is controversial.

Facebook deemed my friend’s post-mastectomy video too pornographic, but my redneck cousin’s mockery of Chinese accents was perfectly in line with their “community standards.”

Joan, I've enjoyed your work and am sorry to see you go.

Everybody knows that historical atrocities only become fair game once there isn’t anyone left with enough of a connection to the losing party/group to plausibly claim to be aggrieved on their behalf. I think we’re probably just about due for a romance novel centered around the Siege of Carthage, and its aftermath. No

The fact that the author’s name is Karen really is the chef’s kiss in all of this racist mess.

Christian fiction” - Well, theres a redundant phrase.

My best friend and I have never gotten over Snapple Elements. The Fire/Dragonfruit flavor is forever etched in my mind. Memories of Cartoon Cartoon Fridays, cereal bar snacks, and Snapple Elements Rain with the funky bottles.

I’m so sorry you’ve had to live through all of these things, and I sincerely appreciate you sharing.

Her and her brother are both shit heads who use social media to trick people into getting saved. Their brand of religion has caused more harm than good, it took me YEARS to deprogram my thought process once I got out of the Evangelical church. So yeah, I don’t get why she needs to be defended, she doesn’t get to have

Evangelical “purity” culture just amplifies the bigger cultural message that refusing sex is a failure in a marriage and that solving it just requires having sex more. Anytime my partner or I have struggled with sex it is due to something completely unrelated to our desire for physical intimacy and relates to much

If their religion didn’t have such a death grip on the US, I’d be fine with her going off on anything she wants.

Every time I get a little tingle of feeling ‘bad’ or empathetic for Cameron Bure when she’s getting shit on for completely innocuous things, I remember her brother is Kirk Cameron...who is among the most batshit and loud about it Christian celebs. While she’s more palatable to the mainstream than he is, I get the

Her own actions don’t help this, since it’s all from the same cloth and mind set. She goes on DWTS and talks about how she can’t do the rumba because it’s too sexy to do on TV because that’s just supposed to be between her and her husband and god, I guess. Not for the rest of the world.

yes this what happens when you belong to a religion that’s misogynistic to it’s core.  There’s literally no way to win.

I totally agree. I would be in big trouble in the dating world. I don't and won't shave. I trim it short, but other than that, I'm good. I am also comfortable with being 40 pounds or so overweight. I've lost 80 pounds, and being this weight makes me feel like a goddess. I also don't often wear make up and sport a

I read the headline and wondered who in the hell looks at vulvas and judges them for appearance? I can't think of anyone except porn stars who even *might* need to concern themselves with such. It's like worrying if your eardrum is pretty.

Honest question here. Do you guys (ladies) really think about how your vulvas are going to be perceived aesthetically? Because as a man who likes ladies, which is presumably the intended audience for most of your vulvas, it couldn't be farther from my mind.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. If your partner is turned off by the look of your labia, something was going wrong well before you showed it to him or her.
