@Hearthatvoiceagain hates the new layout: My 3gs loads in 6-10 seconds. I've checked i4's that also take about that much. with every progressive ios update it seems camera has gotten slower. I don't mind slow app loading, but i think its necessary for camera to load faster. In the amount of time it takes for camera to

so how do they enforce the 20 article limit? do you have to login now every time you view the full article after looking at a snippet, or do they use some kind of IP detection?

What's all the fuss about?? Seems like a pretty nice place. Maybe Just a bit old fashioned.

So while I've read alot recently about this, and core design, meltdowns etc, and how the issue might not be as serious as the headlines make them out to be, what I seem to find is a common element is the cooland running low (apart from the generator issue which i believe was resolved).

@SAThorn: haven't seen the link but that comment was gold.

@crazypills77: I did alot of research on this for my MBP 13 2010, and ended up getting the Kingston V+. The newer version of this is the Kingston V+100. The reason is that while the vortex2E is much faster cos of its sandbridge controller (which apparently makes a huge difference), it was causing macbook sleep issues,

if the popularity of breakup notifier, farmville, newsfeed after the initial negative response, the "i like" applications, mundane apps such as ones that change your profile to pirate speak, etc have taught us anything, its that facebook perfectly understands the majority of the 600m user base of facebook. While you

if anything i can def see apple using the lower-case eg "mon" and "a.m". alot more apple-esque artsy.

as great as these suggestions are, i won't hold my breath for any of them.

so somebody has to explain the usefulness of this concept to me. apparently the laptop dock thing has no processing power of its own, and you're still paying a pretty high price for it. considering a netbook can be had for the same price as the laptop dock that only comes with screen and keyboard, why wouldnt moto add

@VijayS: Sshhhhh I discovered this a while ago and fought temptation to announce it. If the gawker business amangers/giz staff realize how many clicks are going to the older design and thus lower ad revenue they will outright shut it down.

I sided with giz when the apple affair happened and they asked for protection from prosecution as they were journalists. Ever since then though, the sensationalism on giz makes it look like more of a tabloid than anything even close to journalism. i want my old giz back (even though that jsut sounds wrong)

@pixelpushing: because giz will write about pretty much anything nowadays to get hits?

@CaptainJack: cos its the default application and part of the ecosystem. Kind of how internet explorer dominated the market cos it came with windows. Although im not sure if ibooks comes installed by default, if it doesnt so far it prob will in the future.

I hope there is an anti-trust lawsuit here by Amazon, but i've always wondering why they haven't been sued before by other application makers for rejecting apps that directly compete with their product. isn't that the essence of anti-trust, where you are dominating the market by not allowing other entrants. I mean

" In addition, publishers may no longer provide links in their apps (to a web site, for example) which allow the customer to purchase content or subscriptions outside of the app"

Close to impossible. Apple loves it's steady ways. They've achieved market dominance because of their reliability in releases and staying away from the regular old paradigm of pc makers/ device makers where throughout the year dozens of new models are introduced with incremental bumps which then become meh. With apple

so...uhhh...its like watching Monopoly: The Movie, or monopoly: Broadway?? The thing rolls for you, calculates everything for you, i guess the only input the players have is choosing the colour of their dice and maybe moving it forward??? where the fun in that?

Yes anythings possible. I hope the software update ads a sim slot as well by magically morphing the case for a sim card to appear. Anythings possible with apple (including apparently auto correcting possible to poodle)

as they're won't to do, journalists often times use uniquely crafted but impractical phrases like "as they're won't to do" in order to show off their special journalism school edumucation. As they're wont to do, they often times overuse them, making their attempts to seem over intellectual fail.
