GM has already outsold Ford, and generally does.

Ford is currently a one trick pony (or a one pony trick?). Ford Truck buyers only have the F series to choose from. ten billion options, but all lumped into the F series name.

Seeing how the sausage is made rarely goes well.

Their conclusion: GM could cut weight in its trucks for a lower cost using doors made of a combination of aluminum and high strength steel that could be thinner than standard steel, shaving off kilograms in the process.

GM Engineers:

Pfft okay then, “traditional” mid is just a variation on rear engined.

Only one clear answer here:

That factor of six pretty closely tracks the ratio between on-the-job workplace mortality among construction workers (approx. 30-35 per 100,000 per year) and on-the-job mortality for American workers as a whole (approx. 7 per 100,000 per year).

Working in construction, this study (sadly) doesn’t shock me. I think there’s several factors contributing.  Most construction workers aren’t full-time employees. So, they’re only paid when they work (maybe some benefits through the union). But, it also means they’re not going to given a chance for rehab, which most

First and foremost, I agree wholeheartedly with the concluding premise of the article; we 100% need stronger workplace protections and regulations in this country. For everyone. And organizing is a good way to start (side note: well done Missouri on taking the first step to removing their Right-to-Work law).

Workers aren’t even seen as a commodity. They are an expense. Today’s super robber barons want their perceived liability of labor costs to disappear. They have absolute contempt for the human beings in their employ.

Maybe Thanos could snap twice and wipe them all out at once?

I wish Thanos would snap his fingers and make half of Trump’s administration disappear.

But kneeling football players are disrespecting our veterans!

The first level of Trump’s consciousness... why do they all look like Ivanka?

but if you can convince him he thought of an idea organically during his daily news binge, well, you might just change his mind.

There is plenty of blame to go around. The first is squarely on the cities like NYC and their money grab in the form of medallions. This problem is also happening in San Francisco with the city being sued by the local credit union for losses from backing the loans for taxi medallions.

Cabs fucking suck. I have real sympathy for folks that got caught up in the absurd medallion bubble. Clear their debt. Let them walk away. Force Uber to pay a living base wage, classify their drivers as employees, and limit the number of cars deployed. New York needs to drastically deincintivize driving through

I have a bold idea: how about governments not air their grievances toward each other via Twitter? Just talk on the fucking phone or something.

You could also argue that extending the whole “state monopoly on violence” power to private industry undermines the whole point of that power.
