Sharon Osbourne is what happens when you let a stupid person think they have something worthwhile to say. It was her ignorance that made her entertaining to some (along with her family) nearly twenty years ago on MTV. That she’s still being paid to be stupid is the amazing part of the story.

My schooling was in 60s and 70s Detroit. I don’t recall slavery being part of the curriculum, but I must have learned about it some way. Then, Alex Haley’s ROOTS was published and made into the miniseries. We all knew about slavery after that. (Fun fact: I have friends that still call me Kizzy to this day!)

When I was in middle school, I made a Slam Book. Each page of the notebook had the name of a popular person at the top. The aim was to pass around the book and anyone could write one line about the subject of the page anonymously.

Even when Michael is writing satire, he is so inspiring!
