Uhh, I don’t have the numbers handy, but any money wasted paying people to manage them is dwarfed by the amount that is owed to employees. In some cities in CA these pensions take up 20-30% of a city’s budget. Changing who manages them won’t even put a dent into cities that are in that deep.

This is simply not true. My wife’s family is from NYC - and yes - there is nothing quite like an NYC slice. However, in the greater Detroit area I have A LOT of independent places near me (some are shit, admittedly), and I have never had to consider Domino’s, Pizza Hut, etc.

I agree 100%. In the interest of brevity, I left all that out - but they all conveniently forget that Henson seemed to be the guy everyone wanted playing while he was there.
