I remember always wanting either a 90s Nissan 300zx Twin Turbo or a 1993 onwards Pontiac Trans Am. When that was dashed, I wanted a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP but that never happened either. I ended but with a 1995 Nissan Maxima SE which was fun.

Its funny how people think GM would change the interior drastically since the steering wheel and pedals were removed. People, the focus is on the tech, not the dash and keeping productions costs low. It’s economics folks!
Just finsihed watching season 2, and I thought I saw in a yellow Ford Festiva in the high school parking lot early in the season.
I’m surprised he didn’t meet his goal of selling these cars with all of the publicity he has received. I bet he’s asking too much for some of these cars, can’t part with them or both!
But we do have emissions tests here in IL. Michigan did away with those years ago.
It’s Tweets like this and others that makes me concerned and fearful of the future. Mankind is getting stupider!
A new engine but no manual or 8 or 9 speed auto? What gives!
Looks too much like the Highlander its based off of. I really hate this segment of vehicles!
My bad, I always thought they were only manuals!
I’ll be damned, I always thought that they were only manuals. My bad
FYI, these cars were sold with a 5 speed in the base trim. Also, I believe timing chain issue only affected certain years, not all.
That white GXP is not a GXP, rather a clone. GXPs were never automatics!
Oh how I miss the news in Detroit, always good for a laugh. But then again, the Chicago news is about the same!
I hate to break it to you guys, but us Jalops are in the minority of the automotive marketplace. It’s sad to see that SUVs and beige Toyotas dominate sales when hot hatches, coupes and sedans suffer. I’m not looking forward to this tall wagon/beige future!
Surprise, surprise, another GM car! This segment is getting lame....
As a G8 GT owner myself, I like what he did with this car. The price, not so much. Why buy this when I can get a stock GXP with low miles for 10 to 20k cheaper?
The meh car Mondays series has not been around for very long and I can’t help to notice a trend here of 80s and 90s GM vehicles. They weren’t great I’ll give you that, but how about not picking another W platform or another GM car for at least 8 Mondays?
Sounds like you people need to not be reading Jalopnik at work! I’ve heard reading this site at work equates to a 50% reduction in productivity.
That is not a Bose system in that car, it’s the standard system used in all Zs. For some reason, Nissan did not offer a Bose system on the track model in 2003. I know because when I ordered my car in January 2002, it wasn’t an option.
While reviews for this car have been good, GM really messed up on this car in a few ways:
