Did you forget entirely about the character Oryx? She's a title character. How do you forget that.

Looking at those faces makes me want to cry. This is more than my poor little brain can handle.

I thought that movie had really cool elements and that all of the performances were pretty incredible (maybe Zac Efron wasn't quite up to the par of the others, but still). The last five or ten minutes completely ruin it - is it just me or were the last scenes painted with an even heavier brush than the rest?

The best of???

A good seamstress/tailor is like a wizard, for real.

I don't know which apparently imagined relationship I prefer, this or the one with Jessica Lange. Either way, she surrounds herself with lovely people and seems like one of the coolest people in Hollywood (in addition to being one of the most ridiculously talented).

And he appears to be dating Sarah Paulson who is fucking fantastic.

The belief in Satan is a matter of fact.

I love this comment.

Day drinking:

It was so clearly set up for a sequel! Apparently Angelina hasn't been satisfied by any of the rewrites?

Your thoughtful appraisal of Angelina Jolie made me want to see this.

Now playing

I'm going to pretend I never read this article.

Good point - whenever I see her I just think "dear lord that woman is beautiful" which I've conflated with her passing.

Oh, I'm totally celebrating. I just resent that the suggestion that she's an "unlikely" icon! She is, as I see it, an extremely likely icon in that she is a beautiful, eloquent, and famous advocate for a very marginalized group.

A transgender actor on a hit TV show that has beauty privilege, passing privilege, and the ability to absolutely kill it as an advocate for trans issues in every interview she gives? Oh yeah, totally unlikely.

I'm glad someone appreciates this as much as I do. Also, LOL at the title of the video (Phaedra reads Kenya for the Gods).

double post for funzies
