I think she looks perfect for the event and her role in it. Brilliant move by her stylist. If she wore it anywhere else, I’d worry about her health, but this completely works. And she looks comfortable and happy instead of stuck in Posing Princess mode!

That might be my favorite one on this post! Thanks for sharing it. I love it.

If I’m not mistaken, the runway version was knee-length or a bit above? I think the length is part of the awkwardness here...it’s making the front look like a table runner instead of a fashionable design. The detailing, the back, the slit, the neckline...there’s just too much of a mix of elements here for it to work

As long as I can drink on the field. Beers at every base or bust.

I’ve heard good things from people who’ve seen screenings. Everyone says that Blake Lively establishes herself as a true actor in it. I will probably see it.

The Obamas personally request Conan to speak at and emcee events. Conan even hosts the White House tree lighting. He was one of the top donors to the 2009 inauguration fund. Fallon can have Michelle for a few minutes, but Conan has had multiple dinners seated next to her. He so wins.

It's definitely not a problem anymore. They're pretty open about the luster being gone. The objection to Fallon is over Fallon, not Tonight Show Fallon.

There was an article a few days ago, maybe in Splitsider?, that went over how Conan has the most comic-friendly show. More stand-up than anyone else, highlights new people, actually put out a downloadable $5 record for a guy, etc. He has stand-ups on even just as guests, which is unheard of. He hires people like Tig

Leno in the '80s was great. That was your edginess and hilarity. Then he got Carson's chair and it all went away.

I miss being in the game. Keep fighting the good fight.

If you want to talk about the television of today, however, you can't ignore the fact that Conan has the youngest audience, pioneered the integration of things like video games (which you mentioned), was the first show to truly understand the Internet and how to utilize it, etc.

I think most people seeing this don't have the context. Du Bouchet has been doing this for a long time, including shitting on winners and nominees during awards shows, going after very specific bits/jokes/tweets (which is essentially going right at other writers), and otherwise being so much of an ass on Twitter that

Silas looks like his mama! Which is a good thing, assuming he doesn't want ramen hair.

@midnight is doing great things for our nation and the world.

The first one built a huge following on cable, so that could be where they saw the potential for another ma$terpie¢e.

I wouldn't eliminate a candidate from consideration for dressing like this or even actually working as a dancer. But being in high school in 1989? Automatic deal-breaker.

Nice. People who are in pain are just mentally ill?

Vistaril, which is an antihistamine, is more commonly used as a substitute for an antixylotic (or whatever the correct word for “anti-anxiety medication” is; I never get it right). People who can’t have benzodiazepines often get it. I think it’s similar in idea to people using antihistamines to sleep at night...not

And they goddamn well better include the “Chief"!

Sorry to hear you’re not well. Out of curiosity, and if I may ask: Which type of doctor diagnosed you? What was the process like? Does your insurance cover any related costs, if applicable?
