I can separate the two pretty easily. I think it's a fair project and that her circumstances are awful, not that it's a fair project because her circumstances are awful. Can you agree that maybe, just maybe plenty of us are in that group? Come on.

Please dismiss next time. Having a chance to leave a snarky reply isn't worth the outcome.

All art relies on emotion. Have you never read poetry, heard music, seen dance, visited a gallery, created anything yourself?

Your shitty trolling? I agree. It's derivative, contrived, dated, doesn't really spark anything in the viewer...I'd probably take this pass/fail if I were you.

Well, not everyone's lucky enough to get raped and have to find a way to cope with it in a way that feels meaningful and empowering to them, all while having to balance that with rigorous academics and the constant emotional hell of being around their rapist, I guess.

Goddammit, I always knew something seemed to be missing in those brochures.

I went to women's colleges for my Bachelor's and Master's, and I assure you, there was little to no fucking. (Thanks, here all week.)

My experience is that the sorts of people who admit terrible things and thoughts are people who've lived lives of privilege and know there will never be consequences for them. Morality and common sense don't apply to them.

Extremely wealthy, old boys' club liberal arts college where the donors still resent having women/minorities in the first place and where rape does not exist because that would have to be reported. Welcome to Old Money New England.

I knew a guy in college who organized anti-rape and pro-body image events with his frat and would often wear a pink shirt that said "THIS IS WHAT A FEMINIST LOOKS LIKE." He was cute and funny and I thought, Wow, he must not be like the others.

Violence against men isn't based on the fact that they're men. That's the difference. Violence against women is all too often committed *because they are women*. One is narrative-based and one is gender-based. That's the whole point she's making. It's a really good, fair point.

But I'm still lost on this part: it never tapers again, right? I think that's why it feels rougher even when it grows out?

I used my last two Audible credits on Rob Lowe's books and it was basically that type of thing for hours on end.

All I know is, Kim Kardashian also has visible boob veins, and that makes me feel awesome.

My brother worked on R&D for this. He's as much of a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, paranoid survivalist gun-nut as befits the position.

Dear Chris Pratt,

At the beach?! Oh Jesus no, no, there goes any desire I had to go swimming on my next West Coast trip. Our New England beaches might be full of foot-slicing rocks and cold water and assholes in salmon-colored pants, but at least we don't have rodents (outside of Hyannisport, yuk yuk).

Not our job. Your move, chief.

If you're going to say that hundreds of children are dismembered and thrown away, yes, you need to cite that. I'll wait.
