I get what you mean, and I’d say it’s due largely to your choice of words. Starting with “Dude, Wordle has existed, words and all for decades,” comes off as direct and contrapuntal to the comment you were responding to, since that phrasal structure is usually the opening to a rebuttal. That, and...while your comment

You’re arguing something that was never in question. The original post was basically “this format is something new, but he also took the guy’s name, which is messed up.” Your response was “this format is nothing new, it has some minor additions.” Someone then replied, accurately if a little condescendingly, that the

I wish I could try this out, but I’m still in Denver for college and won’t be home for a bit longer. It looks interesting though! And I’ll download it anyway, lol.

You can get from Long Beach to the Valley - and vice versa - taking only the Metro, as I’ve had to do it a couple of times. Generally, though, it would be much nicer if more of the buses and trains ran more. There are actually quite a few buses that run 24/7 through various parts of the city (I found myself often out

Arclight Cinemas? I went to the Arclight once. Unfortunately it was to see The Last Airbender, so my experience of that cinema is tainted by that terrible movie.

Whether it's Nintendo's fault or not, Best Buy likely wouldn't say it was (I work customer service at a Best Buy). Things like this happen rather often, though not usually this big, and it usually falls to us to explain to customers (or, more accurately, guess) why this happened. Usually it goes like, we were

Might be helpful on larger phones/screen sizes? Or maybe there's something you want to see while you type and can't easily scroll the page or something like that. It's nifty, if nothing else, and helpful at best.

"It's time to yiff some dicks."

Both are correct, but in this instance you meant "foot the bill". "Foot the bill" basically means they paid for it and "fit the bill" means someone meets some sort of criteria. As in "Sony possibly footed the bill for the development of the game because Capcom fit the bill."

Dunno how feasible that would be. Fursuits cost anywhere between $1k and $5k depending on what you want in it and the quality (and the maker, of course). I wonder how long the Rocket suit was designed to be worn for, though. It's really good, but hopefully well ventilated/cooled as well o:

Someone came into my store last night (I work at Best Buy) and tried to get us to price-match it. Best Buy's Price Match Guarantee pretty clearly states (at least the version of it on the wall above my register) that we'll only price match something on Amazon if it is shipped and sold by Amazon, something I deal with

Yeah, I think the 83+ is still popular, mostly due to the fact that most textbooks still teach using it. Quite a few kids in my class, back when I was in high school maths, had the Nspires, or the 84 Silver/Platinum edition or whatever it was called. I always found it an odd notion to teach using a very specific

Huh, I never knew TI released patches for the Nspires. I've never connected mine to my computer, haha.

The Nspire line is from TI as well, though. More advanced than the 83s/84s, but as someone else said, maybe it's just because the 83s/84s are more common.

Is there any reason this kind of stuff is always done on TI-83s/84s and not, say, the Nspire CX/CX-CAS or other advanced calculators? I'm just curious, I don't think I've ever really seen or heard as to why.

"Psychic vampires"? That sounds...terrifying. Perhaps you meant psychotic? D:

Am I the only one who's been waiting to see if they'd ever release Flipnote Studio on the 3DS? First it said it'd arrive sometime in 2012, then spring of 2013, then July, then August, and now it's TBA :(

I think, should they ever open a permanent store, it should be in Little Tokyo or Koreatown somewhere. The Line hotel in K-Town already fancied itself up for the Hello Kitty con, this would only be the logical next step!

I've always thought that if push comes to shove, this would be a nice alternative for L.A. as well. The Venice Canals already exist, just expand them (they were drastically reduced previously anyway) to other parts along the coast line. Hell, let some of them connect all the way to the river :P

It was actually episode 10 or 11, if I recall, when they were escaping from Air Temple Island as the Equalists took over.
