Jesus. 77°F is 25°C. That is nuts. It’s one thing to be working in an office that doesn’t have air conditioning, so it occasionally gets that warm on summer days, but quite another to aim for it. I’m a girl, and that is TOO HOT. Are the rest of you secretly lizard people? You are. I knew it.

why can’t we all be reasonable and leave it somewhere between those temps? Like 77 is too warm for me, 68 is too damn cold. A nice 74 would be perfect.

Why not just shut the compressor off and let the temps go up to 90 or so? Productivity should raise to astronomical levels.

I worked in an office where the guy near the thermostat liked it unusually warm. The temps were usually north of about 75. I spent most days queasy from the heat and dead air in the place. God I couldn’t leave the job quick enough. Getting sick each day just sucks, and there wasn’t that much clothes I could remove to…
