I thought Earth to Ned captured a lot of the absurdity of the original show (combined with Space Ghostian Dadaism.)

2016 Ghostbusters was unfunny enough to make me revisit the original and realize that it wasn’t funny either. The original did the remake one better, and in places managed to be genuinely fucking annoying. To wit:

Of course someone had seen it. I'm also willing to believe that copying it it wasn't intentional. This is the sort of striking image you could see 30-40 years ago, and not even realize that it's influencing you.

Yeah, ya know what? Fuck business. They should only have access to my data if I specifically choose to give it to them. They shouldn't be able to just take it, then put the onus on me to figure out how to stop them from using it without my permission. It's tantamount to extortion.
