No. This was an entirely inappropriate way for the government to act.

His mom should be pissed and the Secret Service should be hearing from a lawyer any day now. This is beyond stupid.

This squid WILL get superpowers. But it will probably gain the powers and abilities of a human, making it's super hero name Squidman, as opposed to the corollary Mansquid, who would result from squids taking a man to be exposed to Cosmic Rays.

I guess if you're out to do the low key normalizing thing you can't really do yourself or your cause any good by talking about it. You're supposed to be acting on the belief that this photo no more needs comment than a photo of a straight couple would.

Because I cannot take a joke, I must take umbrage at the headline here.

Isn't Dov out in the bankruptcy? You'd only be supporting his creditors at this point.

I see what you're saying and don't take this as an argument but more for nuance — this woman wanted a hard to get job in a hard to succeed at industry. The sleazy guy in the towel controlled a company that could give her some work, would legitimately expand her portfolio by adding a well known client and also, he's

Hey, lady... uh... your 13 year old son isn't "confused" by that picture. It might be having an affect on him, but it's a fairly straightforward one.

@Pitchswitch: I feel like there was more of a time lag between the Burton-induced Batman franchise and the Nolan one. That they're restarting Spidey already seems absurd to me, but the newer Superman movies are, well... even newer than the Raimi Spider-man stuff.

@Wookielifeday: Good point. Though I think that's kind of why I liked it. You know, I'm a Spidey fan. Have been since I was a little kid. But I'm kind of done with seeing Peter Parker's origin over and over again, told with slight variations each time. Same for Supes.

Didn't they JUST reboot Superman as a movie franchise?

I thought the people who filed the lawsuit did a chemical analysis of the meat after purchasing it. It's entirely possible that this statement refers to Taco Bell's standards but that the facts in the lawsuit reveal actual practices at individual locations.

What quasi-Italian girl doesn't love falafel?

Cory Doctorow's "The Makers" come to life.

And this is the kind of thing that's going to happen if gay and straight soldiers use the same locker rooms in the US military. Barney Frank was wrong! This is going to give parents license to interfere in US security policy!

I thought all the Sartre and Kafka references were damned funny. Sadly, I bet no one at Amtrak gets punished for this. How is something like this acceptable?

The door footage is the best part. The door opening and closing during the struggle, the rotund manager who slowly moves in to help and especially the guy who just strolls out (and who probably cleaned out the open cash register on the way...)

What really irks me is how much nicer their train cars are than the ones in NYC.
