I’m pretty sure this topic comes up almost every quarter when Tesla publishes its numbers. The credit sales are a line item. It’s definitely been dissected here before.

The uproar over Tesla selling credits, without them they may not still be in business is super old news.  All that is news is who is buying them.  The mainstream media is most often so late to the game, I hate how then a story like this blows up and everyones reporting on it.  Should of done a better job investigating…

If anyone is thinking of picking up a used 2017 be aware of the problems.

It is a huge catch. You literally have to have your car serviced at the dealership for the tow to be free, and the tow will only go 25 miles. (Neither of those important points are mentioned in the press release).

It seems silly, especially for older cars. Just get AAA, and tow your car 100 miles to any shop you want.
