This was pretty clearly an award granted to mean “for the entire run of the show”, which happens all the time.

I’ve been re-watching “The Thick of It” recently and it’s reminded me I really need to give Veep a shot. I don’t even know how one does that legally, but I really want to support it as a show.

You could literally see his eye light up when the guy mentioned “courage”.  He was sure that was his way to high road his way out of the conversation.
