Anybody pretending there’s an easy solution to goal reviews in hockey hasn’t put any thought into it. It’s an incredibly unique game and incredibly difficult to officiate. You’ll never capture every edge case, or what people consider to be “fair”.

Any bright line/non-judgment call within 5 seconds of a goal can be reviewed. (Also bar earlier missed offsides calls than 5 secs). There, done.
