You forgot the wine.
You forgot the wine.
The best work party I ever had was a lunch Xmas party. There was a little bit of champagne but also plenty of coffee and hot cocoa for those who didn’t drink. Lunch and everyone brought a baked good. We had a white elephant gift exchange, we all had great fun, and everyone got to keep their evening plans. It helped…
Voter appeal of course. But also, forcing some women to have more children than they can afford creates a permanent underclass which also helps the rich stay rich.
The existence of this law in nyc blows my mind- they never even came up with something like this in super-segregated Milwaukee, and what dance clubs there are are some of the city’s most integrated spots.

So literally while I’m listening to this episode my dog took a wet, smelly poop on my 80 year old pine floor. He doesn’t usually do things like that (he’s a fancy clean Lhasa apso who likes baths and has very regular toilet habits) so I think it was his way of reminding me that at heart he is a dirty, disastrous…
My whites are tea towels. That’s all. So I wash them with bleach in a small load and then hang dry them because I am NOT wasting fossil fuels on that ish.
And yet where the hell else is objective research going to occur in our society? It’s not like private industry is going to fund research on say, climate change.
And it’s so effective that some states have made state worker unions illegal...
At many institutions student perks like gyms are paid for by on-campus student fees. The final destination of tuition dollars is much shadier.
Because our society values a violent sport more than it values education and research? And sports are what the rich alumni go in for?
They sure do. There are independent study and undergraduate research programs, and internships, and they’re pretty essential to do if you want to go to grad school.
