I hate the anal floss feeling of thongs, but regular undies can ride up if I'm super active too. So for days when I'm moving around a lot, American Apparel bike shorts for undies. Or commando w/ leggings under a skirt. Problem solved.

Also: shovels can (and should) be sharpened, especially if you're trying to get through sod. And clean them! The ones in the picture look awful. Wire brush.

As someone who hardly ever wears makeup, believe me I've been pressured to do so.

I feel like the over-reaction to "no makeup" stuff is sort of like the skinny-shaming (and I say this as a thin woman).

Anthropologists tend to use it too - of course we refer to men as males as well. It's an attempt to differentiate the biological (that can be determined from skeletal traits, etc) versus the social gender.

I love the stuff. I like anything tart (there are like 6 types of vinegar in my house) so I eat the plain stuff with just a touch of honey. No need for it to taste like key lime pie.

I have it too, and look like these dolls from the side... I never knew there was a term for it though, my doctors always just said I was "swaybacked."

Ha, that grey scarf looks familiar. I have that scarf. The print is cute little skulls. Some of us are lucky enough to work places where skull prints are appropriate, but others are not. :-)

My rules:

I'll never forget doing dishes after big family dinners while my brother, uncles and grandfather watched TV - and they never made the meal either. I thought it was unfair at the time, and I think it's unfair now.

I actually really enjoy my job most of the time. But for an hour or two after lunch, my body just does this weird thing to my brain and I'm really not efficient at all. I try to save low-thought tasks for these hours, but that's not always possible.

Work=/=virtue, especially not if you work in the financial sector.

Also generally weeding isn't an everyday thing. Couple times a week. Maybe less, if you're using a hoe.

I can and often do wake up at 4:00 am during the summer for work. My work is very seasonal, and the "outside" part of it has to occur during the summer months, and early in the day is better before it gets too hot. 6 am start time? No problem.

I think that's one factor. I actually read an article that states that some dogs have issues getting adopted because of classism/racism. Chihuahuas and pitties are popular, but seen as "common" and a lot of rescues don't take them, and there are some stereotypes about their owners. Which isn't fair to people or to

I agree that the MKE ad isn't transphobic. As a side note, I live in Milwaukee and my partner used to work as a teacher. He got a shirt from the "Baby Can Wait" campaign. Thought it was the most hilarious wording ever. "Daddy is watching Star Trek - baby can wait!" "Mommy's having a beer - baby can wait!"

While it of course has some cultural aspects, I can't help but disagree. During the first few days of my period, I have cramps, serious gastrointestinal upset, aches and pains and fatigue that I do not have at other times of the month. OF COURSE this affects my mood. And for like a year, I was using a menstrual

My mother has a permit and an "invisible disability." She doesn't always need her cane, but generally she can't walk very far without it. So when she first gets out of the car she may look "normal," but by the time she gets to the door of where she's going she will be in extreme pain. If she had to park at the back of

My shittiest breakup involved email. I was away on a (short) trip. As far as I knew, everything in my relationship was grand. We hadn't been fighting at all. We were on the phone all the time laughing and carrying on.

May I ask how this will effect cremains? They don't incinerate completely and there are often teeth and so forth.
