Your comment feels like a hug. I told a few friends who’ve had cesareans, and they don’t seem to get it. I feel like I’m mourning the birth that I really wanted. I mean, I know after it’s all done and over with I’ll be happy she’s here and healthy, but I’m just so sad and scared right now. I’m glad your recovery is a

Yes, I can’t wait to get home from work today and try some of the Spinning Babies methods. I am looking into the Webster technique and to see if there is a chiropractor around who can do it. Unfortunately, my OB said he won’t do external cephalic version on a first pregnancy bc apparently my uterus isn’t stretched

This hits home today. I had my 35 week ultrasound this morning and my baby is breech. The doctor already started talking about scheduling a cesarean. I am so completely bummed because I was really aiming for an unmedicated vaginal birth. I’m terrified of surgery, the epidural, everything. I also live in a podunk town

I just got back from my babymoon in Maui flying from the east coast US. It was a 10 hour flight in total with a layover in LA. I was 7 months pregnant. I had no issues but minor leg swelling, but I wore my compression socks from wheels up to wheels down. The very best thing was that my husband and I paid a bit extra

I really want to see a menswear-themed nursery. Are there baby tuxedos hanging in the armoire?

There is so much of it, and it’s all so adorable.

Me too. I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was growing up. Whales being masculine was news to me.

It was actually a woman who said that to me!

That lady was an idiot! The kid was 2! It’s a feat just getting them to wear clothes at that age!

That is so sad for that little girl, but your daughter is lucky to have a mom that encourages her passions, whatever they may be. I’m an entomologist, and I remember hearing from people (as a 20 year old) that bugs are for boys. I’m eternally grateful to my parents who let me play in the dirt when I was a kiddo.

Of course, and they’re wearing earrings and tutus because how else could you tell that they’re girl whales?

We did a grey, white, and beige. It’s a very soothing room to be in as well it should be.

Lol, no. They are humpbacks and a narwhals, you know, lady whales!

I decorated my baby girl’s room with a whale and underwater theme, and my idiot coworker said that whales are for boys.

Yeah! Way to go, lady!! I’m in my last year 🤞of my dissertation, though not quite as far along as you. I’m also 34 weeks pregnant. You inspire me to keep going, and that it’s absolutely possible to accomplish this feat, though it may take a while. Hugs!

I got the NIPT testing done too because some of the chromosomal anomalies result in such a poor and short quality of life, I couldn’t bear to think of having an infant go through that. However, my religious (former) friends thought I was a monster for even getting the testing done.

We had a husky when I was growing up, and my dad was obsessed with training him. Pretty sure my dog idolized my dad. I have never seen my dad more upset about anything than the day he had to put our husky down at 14 years old. I seriously think the dog was trying to hold onto life for as long as possible just to

Thank you for sharing your story. I’m so completely sorry for your loss. I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant. Had something similar happened during my 20 week u/s, I know I would have made the same decision you had.

That was the most enjoyment I’ve ever gotten out of watching anything on any Fox network.

I went to our local McDonald’s today to get one because I’ve never had one either, and the kid at the drive thru acted like he never heard of the damn thing. Bummer.
