Try renting one for a few days. I was set on ordering a Wrangler 2-door a couple years ago, but my then-fiancee suggested I wait and rent one on our honeymoon. We rented one on Maui for a week, and it was pretty cool for the first couple days, but we quickly grew tired of the fuel consumption, cheap materials, bad

That’s a Nissan S10 Silvia, sold here (very poorly, just a couple thousand sold) as the first-gen Datsun 200SX. This one was mine, one of my friends still owns it:

I may be in the minority here, but I think the light show looks cool AF, in a sci-fi, this is the future, cyberpunk, bladerunner 1980's neon hellscape we were all promised. Light pollution from this doesn’t bother me at all, because for 95% of my night driving, the streets and freeways are so well-illuminated, many

Dammit, Jim, I’m a designer, not an engineer.

Yeah, but with a semi truck, it’s spread out over 18 contact patches, not 4.

The rust combined with the bad roads makes for some entertaining driving there. I once was driving into Detroit and the 1980's Impala in front of me hit a pothole hard enough I had to dodge their rear bumper as it dropped off the car.

I’ve lived in SoCal for 18 years, and have never once bent a wheel despite running as low as 30-series tires.

Thank you. You told this extremely well. Glad you were able to handle it!

inflight emergency (I once shut down the entire airport for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s AZ campus after hitting a porcupine with a Cessna 172)

It blew my mind when I discovered most Porsche headlights come out by turning a single clip.

Wait until Raph discovers all the high-mileage 911 turbos out there.

I’m a big fan of station wagons and Korean luxury cars . I’m kind of glad they aren’t bringing it to the US, because if there’s one car that would give me buyer’s remorse on the used 997 turbo I recently bought as daily, this is it.

Yep.

CCS and ArtCenter

Huge pro tip; you can actually buy cars used for a tiny fraction of what they cost new.

Not with that attitude it’s not.

Bank account intensifies:

Shhh, I bought my Corolla GTS in 2013 for $3500, and am waiting until I can trade it straight up for a 911 GTS.

Seriously. I’d love to give this show a chance, but my wife and I have set our limit at 4 streaming services, so if it’s not on Prime, Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+ it may as well not exist to us. A service has to provide at least three shows we often watch to justify it.
