I’m always interested in how others learned to drive. I never learned the “don’t turn your wheel while stopped,” because the town I took driver’s ed in didn’t have turn lanes, stop lights, or even other traffic.

I used to live right by that gas station in the lead image. It’s located right near Union Station in the Chinatown part of Los Angeles. It’s infamous in LA for always having prices that are around 50-75% higher than other stations in the area. Locals believe it’s a front for a money laundering operation.

Don’t you guys love it when every other person mentioned DT in Elizabeth’s article, when it has nothing at all to do with him?

I can hear them take-off from my side and it’s super loud. I can only imagine what it’s like on your side of the airport. Also, howdy neighbor!

*Nervously looks out my office window at the underbelly of airliners flying directly overhead to land at John Wayne, two blocks away.

Of course, no pricing was announced.

I assume if you own an AE86 in “High-tech Two-tone” they just leave a GR supersports in your driveway to cover up the anime fanboi droolmarks.

My younger brother recently moved to Japan, and I had promised him a cool car to experience the JDM lifestyle over there. However, between the time the move was planned and when it happened (due to Covid) the cars I had earmarked for him doubled in value in many cases. Now instead of looking for “cool”, I’m looking

Since you don’t even know it’s slideshow until you hover over the lead image (edit: or see that easy to miss blue button at the bottom of the article), for the longest time I thought Jalopnik was just throwing up articles after writing the intro paragraph and going, “Well, that seems good enough.”

“안녕히 가세요! Nice train, losers. ㅋㅋ!”

Hers is the Performance, not the long range. .95g is a bit more respectable, just below my BRZ tS at .98g. But in terms of feel, having the center of gravity so low is pretty crazy. The feeling isn’t up to par of any of the BRZs, AE86s, Miatas, evos, or s chassis I’ve had, but the way that thing can move through a

Phew. I’ve been falling in love with Mercedes coupes lately, the design just speaks to me. But if there are no coupes when I buy my next daily, I can still maintain my boycott of MB USA for giving us the 25-year import law.

Because it also outperforms every modern sports car I want/can afford. That’s why I’m fine with my classic Z, it’s never been quick, just fun.

I agree. I lived on the hill for two years, and the only accidents I ever saw were Prii thinking the gravel runaway truck pit was a turn lane and getting stuck up to their axles.

Yeah, local news was first reporting the vehicle involved as a Bentley SUV. That’s probably one of the best accidental endorsements Genesis could get.

The Model Y is seriously the best daily driver I’ve experienced. But it also puts me into an automotive existential crisis. It’s a 5,000 lb appliance crossover that out accelerates and out corners every sports car I’ve ever owned. It performs at supercar levels, yet will comfortably and silently whisk you to work,

He calls it Moby, because it’s a big white whale.”

Yep. I’ve got a collection of classic Toyotas I used to take to a local Toyota dealer I trusted for light maintenance. Since I wanted to keep bringing them business, I asked if they would be able to service my BRZ, since it’s literally identical to an 86 in every way except for the front bumper, headlights, and some
