I'm in the middle of some calibrations

I wish I knew, I was happy to see a Bronco II thriving in my neighborhood, as I grew up in the midwest, and my first car was a first gen Ford Ranger, that despite only being 10 years old was completely rusted out.

If we could have something like the car culture in Tokyo in major US cities, that would be amazing. Where most people walk or take the train to work throughout the week, and then those that enjoy driving have something without any compromises in their garage, like a Caterham 7, Rally special, or vintage sports car for

I mean.. you’re not wrong...

I live in LA, and was lucky enough to start working from home about 4 months before this all happened. First off, from my own personal experience working from home, it’s so great to only have your car associated with being used for things you enjoy! 90% of the mileage on my BRZ tS is now being put on from drives

How about this, just electric?

Even then, when you try to actually order one, the dealers will blow you off.

The third color choice is literally “,”

Oof. My AE86 GT-S has so far cannibalized:

The amount of thumbs up I’v had directed at my AE86 from the cockpits of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches, and McLarens makes me believe, that yes, LA does in fact have a lot of car enthusiasts on every level of income.

You should have seen downtown Los Angeles this morning:

When I was at CCS, our senior GM-sponsored studio was exactly this, creating different bodies all using the Autonomy skateboard chassis. Back in 2004.

Even then I wouldn’t have been too happy. The reason it was dusty because it had just been painted after a two year restoration and the paint was still curing before I could wash it.

I came out to this one on my Datsun Z:

I’d like to posit that the long-lived Toyota Corolla model line is the automotive equivalent to John C. Reilly. I mean, if he were, you know, Japanese.

I used to live in Long Beach, and the location of these things is totally random. I’m not surprised someone hit it, especially at night. I’ve seen people almost hit them or end up clipping them in broad daylight. They’re stuck in the center of otherwise normal intersections, and most people’s brains aren’t ready to

It feels like 75% of the production run exists as boxes of parts hoarded by AE86 owners at this point though.

AE88 was never a chassis code or model type, it’s just part of a vin. Just like how S13's don’t have S13 in the vin, or A70 Supra turbos have A71 in the vin.

I’m probably doing this wrong, but oh well.

“WHAT, IS YOUR FAVORITE COLOUR?”
