It was a Subaru BRZ tS in Crystal black silica. I did have a loan pre-approved, so that did make things faster.

I’ve walked in to a dealership, said “I have a dinner reservation for my anniversary across town in an hour. I need to get out of here in 20 minutes.”
I cross-shopped my BRZ with the Porsche Cayman. If you can afford both, it’s nice to see if the higher priced model is worth the additional purchase price. In the Cayman’s case, the BRZ provided 90% of the fun, and way more features for half the price, in the Q5's case, the additional fit, finish, power, interior…
It drives fantastic. My only gripe is the factory GT-wing grabs way too much of the wrong type of attention, at least in southern California.
My wife passed up a Crosstrek because of it’s lack of power and bought a Q5.
My wife had an extremely well-equipped 1-series that she loved, up until the moment her co-workers started making fun of it because it was the “entry-level” “cheap” BMW. That’s better than the BMW 633CSi I had. I owned it for two years, and it ran for 2 weeks out of that entire time.
If I didn’t already have 5 cars and only two parking spots, I’d be picking one up myself.
I’m very familiar with the Macan, we cross-shopped it with the Q5.
That’s a shame too, as something that would combine the utility of my wife’s Q5 with the handling of my BRZ would be amazing.
