I’m so glad I built my collection more than 5 years ago.

The Ford is the smarter daily driver decision, the S2k is the smarter financial decision.

What most people don’t remember is when the S2000 came out, everyone constantly hated on its lack of torque, to the point that Honda increased the displacement later to 2.2 liters at the expense of the super high redline.

Meanwhile, I try to buy new cars now, because I want companies to keep making fun to drive cars with manual transmissions, so I try to do my part to show there’s still a market for them. (Cars bought new: Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and Subaru BRZ tS.)

Because it looks cool AF. Which is 100% what drifting is meant to be about, what Super D Matsuri understands, and Formula D has completely forgotten about.

The only people who outrun me at the track are ones who are better drivers than me. If I could hold my own in my old AE86 and NA miatas, my BRZ is an improvement in every way. If I ever need to start running at big power tracks, then yes, it would be more fun to add something from the aftermarket to handle those long

Make sure you take it up Angeles Crest and Mt. Wilson. The car really shines there, and leave the stability control on, the new STI tune on it is really something. -tS owner.

If that’s your thing, then definitely go for it.

Like the Lotus 7, it’s a fantastic chassis with a motor that was chosen because of the weight and how low they could mount it in the chassis over the performance of the motor itself. It’s about creating a handling package with as few compromises as possible, and putting the way the car feels above everything else.

The ride is actually a bit smoother than other BRZ’s. All the flexible chassis braces allow it to soak up road imperfections better than the standard rigid braces.

You forget about the spoiler after about a week.
