That was a truck. This is a minivan-surrogate for people too insecure to have a minivan.

This is completely true. I’ve found that most IKEA flatpack furniture will fit in my BRZ tS with the rear seat folded down. I only have room to park a single car, and since “fun to drive” is a requirement for my mental and emotional well-being, a car that is a blast to drive and can do 98% of things I need it to do

No one passed me on the 405 and 110 yesterday too.

The yellow BRZ tS you show in the pics is considered by Subaru Japan to be an “STI complete car” so you could actually say it’s an STI and not be wrong.

Of course! Of the two types of radio you don’t have to pay for, it’s the one with less static.

“Real FM Radio.”

I do not eat cats either.

And what’s more frustrating is every car that I’ve purchased new in California has required 93 octane.

Sorry, I’ve made notes to try to explain things better:

Then remember a few years later when Toyota brought us a car with 22 more horsepower, a better 0-60, a back seat, and a lower price, all without having to add a turbo?

I bought a tS. I didn’t get a WRX because it’s bigger, heavier, has frumpy sedan styling, is slower in the technical twisties of my local mountains, and I have no use for the AWD or additional power where I live. My driving is all dense city or twisty mountain roads, and the BRZ is perfect for both.

Compare the badging on a BRZ to an 86 some time. It’s ridiculous.

I think it’s pretty funny that on the 86 twins decklids, the 86 has one emblem (the Toyota badge) whereas the BRZ has the Subaru emblem, “Subaru,” “BRZ,” and “tS” if you get the tS. It’s like Subaru wanted people to know it wasn’t a Toyota and overcompensated.

I cross-shopped my BRZ tS with the Porsche Cayman, but I know I’m in the minority. Even then I think the 86 twins have more than enough power, because I know it’s a modern AE86, and 86's really just need enough power to get up to speed and stay there. You don’t need more power if you’re already taking 25mph mountain

You’ve obviously never commuted in LA before.

I’m a normal guy who just bought his first Subaru 2 weeks ago, but still haven’t found this torque you claim of. But I’m probably looking in the wrong place (under the hood of my BRZ).

It’s a streetwear brand known for its cult following, and releasing limited and pricey editions of its clothing.

“If subaru was serious about having the safest cars out there they would intact a rule that you have to be at least 25-30 years old to buy a WRX/STI.”

Uncanny Touge.

As long as the driver is aware, Subaru’s performance offerings equipped with Brembos can generally outbrake anything else anyway.
