70% of Subaru BRZ sales are manual. I don’t think it would be unreasonable to assume some BRZ buyers would want to graduate to a Supra.

I was originally planning on getting the new Supra, and already had a very large downpayment saved. However, after renting an 86 and hearing the Supra would only come with an automatic, I jumped on the chance to buy a different example of Tada’s work.

Last year I was in Tokyo, and being an AE86 owner,thought it would be fun to rent a new Toyota 86.

Having to get either one of these cars over a coupe from the same manufacturer is a brilliant argument for birth control.

On the Toyota/Subaru 86 twins, if you set the rev limit reminder at 4k rpm (the recommended rpm not to exceed during break-in period) the car’s top speed is 86mph. I found this out yesterday.
