Are your BRZ tS’s completely loaded up with accessories too? It seems like this is pretty common for these two cars.

Now I’m wondering if I should save the 6 months of emails it took me to just get a deposit down on a BRZ tS....

I test drove one at a Carmax a few years ago. Drove it around the block. Was not impressed. Then I test drove an FRS at a Scion dealer, and they wouldn’t let me shift above 4k rpm. Was even less impressed.

I laughed at the idea of Fancy Kristen buying anything for anyone besides Fancy Kristen.

Die hard JDM bro here with a deposit on a BRZ tS.

My roommate at the time and I took our cars off-roading in the sand dunes at Pismo Beach. Mine was a rare medium blue metallic ‘91 Toyota Supra, his a rarer ‘91 BMW 850i 6-speed. I got the Supra stuck. There are pics, but they are all being held hostage by photobucket.

Bring your international driving permit to a Toyota-Rent-a-car office, say “I would like to rent a Hachiroku,” and they can usually get you one the next day.

Renting an 86 and hitting up Japan’s mountain passes is cheaper per hour, and more fun IMO.

Or anyone who goes to self-service junkyards. I could’ve had so many 80's vintage Enkeis and Ronals by now....

I had someone try a smash and grab on my Jag, but could only shatter the outer layer of glass on the side window. My insurance company wanted me to get the car dropped off for repairs asap, because they didn’t want the car street parked with a partially shattered side window, where someone could finish the job and

As someone who owned an Evo VIII when new, test drive an FRS/BRZ and an NC Miata. They have the wonderful scalpel-like handling of the Evo, but in a package you can drive at 10/10ths all the time. Plus ten times the reliability. I swear my Evo was in for warranty work twice a month since the day I took delivery.

I’ve found that lightweight Japanese cars can handle both daily driving and track duty without causing headaches. I’ve had a string of 3 NA Miatas, 3 S13's, and 2 AE86's that have been both solid dailies and fun on the track. The only issues I had were with ones that had been beaten to within an inch of their lives

Sooo, Toyotathon?

I find this so hard to believe.

Ask if the Nismo version they get in Japan is coming.

So for some background on that A6 video...

Get a 2013 or newer. It’ll be quicker, have more power, has a mainly black interior instead of light grey, has a much needed backup camera, and if you find a 2016, blind spot detection.

That’s a fantastic idea. Or if you want basically the same car, with a load more torque, a fantastic understeer eliminating yaw control system, KERS, a 2 seat interior with nicer appointments and a weird rear seat area storage system, wrapped in a sexier body that still swallows virtually anything, may I suggest the

No, you have to own it.

I meant to say the Nordschleife paid out $40k after mods, not $30k in my original post.
