I'm in the middle of some calibrations

Yeah, I’ve been getting money everytime in free mode. You have to complete the set number of laps you put in, and the payout is dependent on how long the mileage of the “race” is. 2 laps of the Nordschleife pays out $35k before mods, and 2 laps of the Dubai mountain course only pays $4500.

My favorite thing to do now is run free run and set the number of AI drivers to zero. Just me, my favorite cars, on my favorite tracks, and I still get paid. I earned about $30k last night on a dramatic 2 laps of the Nordschleife in an R33 Nismo GTR-LM in a thunderstorm. It was super fun.

I totally agree. I’m not even considering the Civic Type-R, just because I’m not a fan of the 4-door bodystyle. (Although even if they offered the Type-R as a championship white coupe, it wouldn’t sway me away from a new 86-twin as my next car.)

“For Horizon to be a good game, it needed to give SOME reason why you couldn’t go all out everywhere, at least not without some sort of skill to avoid the consequences of speed.”

From what I’ve seen, you actually have to find all the parts to restore too, so until you find find those air-cooled beetle front fenders, you’re rolling around with either crumpled rusty ones or ditching them all together.

Why do that when you could just run power to your alternator?

I’m hoping for Tesla ‘crate’ powertrains that I can just drop into classic cars. My non-smog exempt S30Z could use more power.

I’d actually have no problem with a full-electric California-spec Corvette that sounded like the ghost car from the movie “The Wraith.”

My fiancee and I are looking for an apt in downtown LA, and have noticed that a lot of new construction apartment buildings offer a parking spot with EV charging for an additional $20/month.

I don’t know if I’m more disappointed to find out that the Grumman car was made up, or that the car in the photo actually exists, but there were only two. I was ready to start scouring the internet for a Guysen E12...

A post-facelift (ZF2) Honda CR-Z (The one with the upgraded battery and motor.) It weighs less than an 86 twin, has fantastic handling (complete with a stability control system you swear is only there to eliminate understeer and encourage throttle lift oversteer), and drives like a mid-90's Honda (that’s a good thing.)

I’ve got a mild hybrid with a manual transmission and an exhaust that crackles and pops. It’s really not as bad as you think, the added torque is rad.

So I wonder if it would work with an 86, since they’re built by Subaru who is cool with ordering? (Not that you can get an 86 built in too many ways anyway though.)

There’s a silver one in SoCal, a pastel yellow one in NorCal, a green one in Portland, and a bright yellow one in Phoenix, but still, 1 of 5 known in existence is still pretty good.

I’ve owned 3 S13's, including an original 2-tone silver green coupe with HUD (which I still have.) It took me three years to find an S10 and buy it. (My former room mate still owns the car.)

Just checked, the closest one is in Phoenix... who also gets Culver’s and Whataburger. Not sure if it’s worth the daytime temperatures though....

Blame the missile scene. There was once a time where modded 240SX’s were cleaner than the stock version of the same car....

Yet at LAX you can have your car parked with its nose an inch from the wall, and you’ll still get a ticket for no front plate.

I so miss Fujimi Kaido.

How hard would it be to say... buy a Cappucino or Beat with up-to-date shaken, and keep it at a friend’s place in the Japanese countryside to have your own personal vehicle to take to these roads everytime you visit Japan. Would trying to find insurance for a non-Japanese driver make it a no-go, or anything else like
