Soo, basically, when you are toping out a Chiron at whatever that is, something bad happens - and before you even know it, literally, you’re a meatbag in aluminium and carbon can.

McGregor won. Now this story. I can see why people dislike Connor, he’s loud, over-the-top shit-talker, boaster, etc. BUT - I can not understand how some one could sympathize with Diaz. Everyone praises him to be the man who keeps it real, talks real. What the hell. Just notice how retarded he seems to be when he is…
Except the car wasn’t exactly cheap, Alex bought it above average price.
Electric motors, any idea how they work? Instant.
I thought it was a Lotus.
Very beautiful shots, thank you for sharing!
Great, clean car. Good, clean examples are hard to come by, but this car has some miles racked up on it, I would like to give it a health check, even possibly a dyno run, to see, what’s up.
Holy shit, I can’t beleive how much people are off the vision of Musk’s companies, and even bigger portion is absurdly angry about the company not making any profit. This is not about money, this is about changing the way we look at all this. Why is it so hard to open up the tiny tin box in everyone’s head which,…
Originally, the oil consumption was because it was used to lube cylinder liners. Excessive clearence between piston rings and liners causes more oil to run by the piston and more combustion pressure to enter the crankcase pushing the oil in even more, therefore causing carbon build-up in the engine. It largely depends…
Sooo. This is Jalopnik, the site of gearheads, and everyone is screaming - project car, nooooo no no no no no. What’s wrong with that? What’s up with the conservative attitude, is it because it will need a wrench turned over here and there? This is by most awesome looking project car I’ve seen here. Would take a look…
I don’t see any used car as 100% reliable. You did not sit next to the 2nd or 3rd owner to see how he treated the car, besides, mostly all of your articles consist of purchasing non-topzusstand cars which you try to fix. Even the body work is always damaged and neglected, what do you expect from the inner workings?
The consumption of oil is normal on M engines, they are designed to do so. E39 M5's V8 uses 10W60 for a reason. Audi’s 4.2 liter powerplants, and actually, any German made V engine were more or less designed to consume a bit of oil. If consumption went abnormal, that was def. one of the piston rings not sealing…
Have they? The JZ series are not flawless, especially when you add your own boost to it.
Soooo, let me get this straight. Z06 has a supercharged V8 with 650 horses under the hood. Sounds awesome, right? Well yeah, stratch that, remove the blower, stuff the engine in, hang on some carbon bits and ridiculous packages, and everyone praises this as the holy grail? I bet the car has the same suspension setup,…
It’s true, at least here in Europe. A good, low-mileage 3.0TDI goes for about 1.7-2k Eur = 1.9-2.2k USD.
Shit, pop a turbo and injcetors from a Touareg, although the body is claimed rust free, I’d try to make it 4WD.
I’d check it out for sure. I don’t care about a car being a project for a reasonable price, and 2.5k’s which include ALREADY swaped engine with the fiddly bits to work out remaining, a heaps of spare parts, it’s more than adequate. Quite possibly this is my European diesel soul speaking, but still. NP!
Holy shit, nice price for the frameless doors alone!
I can relate to this so much. Recently I had an Audi B5 1.6, 97' row your own 5-spd, my first car. I was kinda broke at that time, every repair not only emptied my wallet, it also drained a piece of my soul, cause I had a feeling that the car hated me so much. Otherwise, it was a minter on exterior and interior.
Here’s a thing. There was a point in time, when racing sim games tried to make ranking and penalizing bad drivers a thing. Guess what, they failed. It’s either get-away with bad things done for free, or get penalty for a slightest ineraction, out of pure unlucky event. It can be done, possibly, but the algorythms have…
