The issue here isn’t the fact that MLS feels that people with opposing views would be offended by these banners. It’s that the people with opposing views aren’t interested in soccer and MLS is desperate to get the alt-Right more interested in soccer.

Though I’d argue that in the New England/NYC areas, there’s an awareness and a willingness to actively be rude. I just think Midwesterners are often in their own world (not that they aren’t capable of similar behavior... they are, they just hide it behind a smile).
Having lived in both areas, it’s not that Midwesterners are rude, it’s that they’re self-centered and clueless.
