Nah, but keep jerking your brain-dick.

Anyone who enjoys movies is a movie watcher. People who obsess over movies are cinephiles. Anyone who reads is a reader. Anyone who reads lots is a voracious reader. Ergo, anyone who plays games is a gamer, and those who play lots of them are hardcore gamers. Modifiers add nuance,

did you really just call sports gamers casuals? lol jesus christ.

Elitism over which video games you play is almost as dumb as elitism over which beer you like to drink.

Wow that’s pretty bold to label those who play sports games as casuals. Isn’t the term gamer essentially a person who plays games? Stop It with elitist attitude and trying to be better than everyone.

Oh sure, its easy for a guy to run a 4.61 with his dick and balls inside his shorts...

So I help out a charity that runs free advanced driver safety course for teens, we had an event in Pomona at the fair grounds this weekend. The first thing we talk about is any recent traffic deaths, every event we have something major in LA or Orange County to talk about. This weekend it was this. One of the parents

Not to be a highlight truther, but the PGA tour has a rule requiring pants (ie, no shorts). Do you just have to START wearing pants? Have we finally found the reason for those convertible pants?

Football, baseball and futbol all have very different commentation styles however they all keep a sense of decorum and respect for the viewer and the sport.

Check out almost any CSGO or SC2 commentators. They manage to do a great job conveying excitement and strategic and tactical nuances without being giant manbabies about it

One person’s “gritty and real,” is another person’s “immature and repugnant,” I suppose. They want to grow that main audience, so other people will spend money on the events. Personally, I think they could do some thing along the lines of WWE commentary. It can be colorful and amusing without the masturbatory humor

I don’t think anyone actually likes “gritty and real” other than the fans that makes playing mobas “gritty and real”. I fucking hate it. and we can do without it either, the game doesn’t reward you everytime you say a racist or homophobic slur in chat, nor do players get better when you yell at them for their mistakes.

what’s with this polar opposite rhetoric anyway? seriously...

“If I was told to be myself in a commentator role that clearly had more of a PG-13 sort of setting, I’m not gonna be cursing. I can still be myself, though. I’ll just omit anything that comes to mind that’s clearly not appropriate for the context...

Well in this case, keep acting as you all are, commentators. Please don’t be on my TV. Keep your video game screaming on the internet, thanks.

This just reads to me as a big manchild trying to justify his shitty behavior. Which could be unfair, but really.

I don’t think he should have been hired, especially based on previous track record. I agree with him on that. That said, I think esports commentators need to lay off the “immature man child” persona if they ever want these broadcasts to go mainstream, or if they themselves want to branch out. I was cringing listening

Who is this guy and why do people apparently care?

Absolutely - the corporation is an incredibly useful innovation and, as a legal fiction, corporations actually need certain rights (for example, the right to enter into contracts and then sue to enforce them). I can’t even really conceive of what the world would look like without the corporate structure.

This is terrible news, mostly because I actually think the Redskins are in the right, at least in principle.
