ESPN is full of personalities. Some love the Patriots and some feel it is their solemn duty to destroy the organization. It is a place full of unprofessional journalism. The few that are professional exist in the minority.

The ‘becomes a runner’ just means you demonstrate possession. For example performing a football move. Also, if contacted and going to the ground, you maintain possession throughout the fall (and collision).
