I think my overall point was that slavery had more to do with class than race. I will agree with you though that there were definitely some major effects that are in deed racist. I imagine there was an entire generation that was born post-slavery that did not appreciate when minorities were to be considered equals.…
Slavery isn't even racist. Poor people were enslaved. Black people were poor. It was really simple. Even to the point where Europeans were enslaved because they couldn't pay debts. That's how some colonies got their work done before we raped Africa. There were even blacks who owned slaves.
People intelligent enough to know what it is are probably intelligent enough to know how to get over it.
I trash Sony at every turn (because they are a company with no morals), but this doesn't bother me for some reason. I think we all know that eventually we will have to pay for online play, regardless of when we bought the game.
I was playing a game yesterday that I felt would probably be 100000000000 times faster to get to play if we didn't have to have online play. You wouldn't need 500 log-ins and 50 loading screens before you could actually play the game.
Really lucky developers make money after sales pass a certain threshold. Otherwise, developers don't make shit after the game is released (save the bonuses for shipping a game that publishers tend to give... which aren't really bonuses but deferred payments).
