Cauliflower is AWESOME. Incredibly versatile and reflects well the flavors added to the dish. Sautee minced garlic in grass-fed butter (HUGE flavor difference between grass-fed and conventional), throw in chopped cauliflower, add some green herbs/spices (parsley, dill, sage, etc. it doesn’t really matter which), then

Someone obviously didn’t read the links he/she posted. Sheesh.

You missed the point. The point is that these things are very frequently said to females over males in the industry.

UGH YES!!! Female trumpet player here. Female brass players and percussionists get so much crap. Gender bias is so prolific in music fields that a lot of auditions are blind. I had to take my shoes off for a blind audition so the judges wouldn’t hear the heels, think me female, and score me lower. What the hell?! And

I’ve tried Centrallo. It’s pretty crappy. The only posts you’ve posted are to advertise Centrallo. Can you not? Thanks.

Oh please, the “full stop” bit really isn’t necessary. Obviously it’s YOUR OPINION that notifications are needed, but it’s not fact. Clear did very well for years in the App Store without them.

I agree that their feature set for the free version isn’t the greatest, but you can create lists under projects, which is really all that’s needed for a basic task app, it could be argued (though more heavy users of course can’t survive just on that). The $30/yr is really a steal, though. It’s half the price of

I bullet journal, but never really used the memo portion of the process. After reading this piece I’ve linked below, I started incorporating thoughts, snippets, etc. of my daily thoughts or actions into my journal. I also use a Field Notes notebook like the article author uses, and the portability is key. It’s been

I just did Whole30, too! January 1-30. I actually didn't have a very positive experience with it, but it was more a psychological issue than a health one. Definitely felt pretty crappy for most of it because I couldn't go out with friends for dinner, had to make every single meal... food's apparently more of a factor

Currently it's showing up as $18.99 for me? (US)

Agreed. I only found success losing weight when I went Paleo - aka dumped starches and grains. A plateful of pasta is way higher in calories and lower in nutrients than a plateful of chicken breast and broccoli (after which I feel much fuller). Even when I counted calories and still ate starches/grains I couldn't drop

This can dilute your stomach acid, though, and lead to fewer digested nutrients, from what I've read. It's generally discouraged to drink while eating a meal for this same reason.

NPR started a new series, Tea Tuesdays, and they disprove the triangle tea bag theory, saying it’s more the size of the bag than the shape that allows for best steeping: http://www.npr.org/blogs/thesalt/… (2nd paragraph under the photo under “Choose your tea”)

Yes! What's weird is I have much more success brewing tea bags more than once than I do loose tea. A lot of the tea I've purchased from Teavana can only brew once, maybe twice if I am STRICT about the steep time. Their English Breakfast is awful for this, though their Yunnan Golden Pu-Erh I can easily squeak out 4

Maybe it's just a placebo, but I've wondered the same and tend to get the shakes after a French-pressed cup but not one that came from my Chemex or Aeropress.

Just steep your tea for a minute or so, dump that out, and then steep again for the regular amount of time. You'll have dumped most of the caffeine down the drain while having left a lot of the flavor still in the tea for a second, full steeping! I steep each tea bag* twice — the first in the morning to get the full,

Another misconception about the job - not everyone working in the library is, technically, a "librarian." Most states only use the term "librarian" for those with an MLS, MLIS, etc. So for the most part, that person working the circulation desk helping you find a book? Not a librarian. The person at the reference

Also, the cost-benefit ratio is TERRIBLE. You can easily invest 100k into your MLS/MLIS/MIS/whatever to plunk down in a job where, unless you're in a MAJOR city, you make ~35k/yr. The only saving grace is that working for 10 years in a government non-profit can potentially get your student loans forgiven.

This is exactly it. Libraries are there for cultural enrichment — to provide what the community needs or wants, especially if they cannot afford it.
