If you’re talking about the one on Verdugo, that’s Burbank, not Toluca Lake. I’m commenting to retroactively protect my pride for the ludicrous rent I paid in TL when I was in college.

I drive an S60 and whenever I have an XC60 as a loaner the car has what seems to be much more interior space and feels like it’s built on a larger platform than the other 60 series Volvos. I’m not sure how they do it but I do experience why they’re separate products while driving each. I will be getting one or the…
Sounds like a solid plan to me! Too bad about that standard auto, but at least it’s not a CVT.
A few reasons: it’s fireproof, relatively lightweight and most importantly, it can be easily replaced. Because of the humidity of the environment, rust is the biggest worry. You end up with a sandwich of steel, sealant, moisture barrier, concrete, sealant, padding, carpet. Fires are the single biggest concern aboard…
Sold. I’m in. My S60 lease is up in August. Let’s do this Volvo.
I have, actually, and specifically as a consumer. As a 30 year old male, I am smack in the thick of their target demographic! I needed a new car right as the CLA was hitting the market.
People who could care less about cars go and buy a Honda Accord for $10k less with twice the standard equipment and dreadnought reliability, not a swoopy, inconvenient, unpractical little runabout.
Oh, let’s get real for a second. If people aren’t just buying it for how it looks or the big 3-point star on the snoot, they wouldn’t be buying it at all. Meanwhile, every automotive journalist and consumer advocate on Earth has called the Honda Accord among the highest value cars on the market. For $37k, you can get…
Your statement about internet guys projecting is usually spot-on, but in this case I think the point is the stunning lack of value in the CLA/GLA product lines. You also have to consider the fact that people who make large purchases without considering value aren’t often the ones balancing their checkbook to the penny.
Celery is actually a strong flavor. Or it is considered one in cooking classes I've taken. I think because it can be detected in small amounts.
That’s horrifying.
20 years ago? not so much. Today? Tunnels and bridges in the LA basin are insanely over-engineered, especially since the two Valley earthquakes of ‘71 and ‘94 took out most of the originals. This happened in ‘94 in my hometown (Newhall, CA)
Yeah, and she’s the Chair of the Federal Reserve Board. Janet Yellen is herself among the most accomplished economists living today. She’s appointed to do a job based on her own experience, so to whom she’s married is entirely irrelevant in this context.
it’s a Honda Civic Wag-O-Van. The most important Wag-O-Van ever made. The only Wag-O-Van ever made.
top switch on MINI convertible has one!!
this is an excellent comment.
it’s easy to talk like a tough guy on the internet, too.
Are there requirements for visibility in the cabin? because it’s tucked up next to the sunroof buttons on my Volvo S60. I’ve had the thing for almost 3 years and saw it the first time maybe 2 months ago.
that’s actually kind of perfect. I’ve been sitting here giggling at it for 30 seconds
There’s no pain receptors in your eyeballs. I watched my dad’s Lasik surgery with no anaesthetic and the doc told me about it but I couldn’t imagine the sensation. About a year later, my own doctor stuck a needle in my eyeball for a diagnostic test so careful what you wish for. Didn’t feel anything but the pressure,…
