Remember, kneeling for the anthem = the ultimate disrespect.

I think that when he tells the truth, it’s not intentionally. I agree with you that there is his vanity in play. Sometimes he is so busy trying to blow his own trumpet and be the centre of attention, that he gets lies and truth mixed up. So it would be an accidental truth.
The bitter taste of regret.
He just can’t stop lying. He is essentially incapable of ever admitting to being at fault. Everything is always someone else’s fault, and his administration keep supporting his obvious lies. They consistently tell people to ignore the evidence of their own eyes and ears.
And will all those people whipped into a frenzy about black athletes disrespecting soldiers because they kneel for 90 seconds...
Your [circle one of the following: son/daughter/husband/wife] knew what they were signing up for. Besides, I like sailors who don’t get killed while serving. Plus, it’s not like they had to avoid STDs during the Manhattan disco club scene. That’s real danger.
I should have made this months ago...
In the week Trump has spent arguing with a PREGNANT WIDOW, he could have made another personal phone call to her to smooth things over.
Based on the rest of the article, apparently with a B-52.
Absolute 100% ‘Yes’ to your first three questions. Hysterical laughter shifting into head-shaking and tears to your fourth.
So will Trump call this Gold Star widow a liar, and claim he has proof she’s lying? Will John Kelly and Sarah Huckabee Sanders accuse her of grandstanding and politicizing her husband’s ? But what about his bone spurs? Certainly those should give him some empathy!
“the anthem issue, which has affected TV ratings”
One could also say that the Deconstructionist style that was popular during the Bush and Obama years hadn’t taken hold yet. In 1993, it was cool to point out how generic and exploitative mainstream media was, but mainstream media hadn’t yet become self-aware of its own tropes. Think about James Bond not giving a damn…
That’s a good point. There was a lot of handwringing in the entertainment press back in ‘88 along the lines of “Can the star of Moonlighting be an action hero?!?” Now the sardonic, quippy action star is a cliche.
And certainly, 1993 was in the waning years of that sort of film—that type of big-budget action blockbusters doesn’t exist anymore, really.
When Family Matters has a more nuanced discussion on police profiling than The Cosby Show you know that the show wasn’t shit. Yeah The Cosby Show worked, it worked in letting white people shame other black people by saying “See they made it & they don’t complain, why can’t you do that?” All you need to know about The…
I was talking about this with a friend. I read it and eye-rolled so hard.
Over the past two weeks on the heels of the Harvey Weinstein travesty, I’ve noticed a trend. And I have a question…
Reach out and touch face!
In my opinion, all you have to do to understand him is look at his family, and they’re a big part of the first movie. That’s why this movie was so unnecessary
