Liberal racism is the most smug of all the racisms! :)
Liberal racism is the most smug of all the racisms! :)
I am starting to dislike the ubiquitous white liberal that you speak of as much as the extreme racist conservative. The Matt Damon liberal has evolved to believe they know more about being black and diversity than an actual black person because they have a few non intimating black hipster friends, know a rapper or…
Oh, ffs. This is why I don’t come to Jezebel much anymore. I came here against the voices in my head hoping not to be disappointed. “Prudishness” of western culture? Puh-leeze. Why must we return to the language that men have used forever to silence women speaking up about their objectification? Nobody wants to be a…
The absolute lack of understanding of anatomy astonishes and saddens me. And not just for MRA douches either...now that my mother is older and I have to take care of her medically, I often find myself explaining very basic things about her body. Stuff like where her kidneys are (she thinks all back pain comes from her…
I have a sick feeling that these men who have no idea how to find a clit also have no idea that a hymen isn’t a membrane of skin that completely covers your cervix until a penis comes along and pops it like a balloon. If it was, “virginal” women could never have a period or any discharge.
Must be in response to womankind’s most recent charter amendment: “No brain? No bang.”
To be true to Reality, it -was- other Democrats who started the “birther” rumours, trying to damage Obama with innuendo during the Primary season, as Hillary was losing ground to him. The Republicans of course ran with it once he was the nominee, but it -was- a Democrat supporting Ms Clinton that launched this…
Dumb. Hypocrisy requires equivalence. If Chris Christie were in a position that required fitness standards and he flouted them and then required this guy to lose weight, then this would be hypocrisy.
Shitty false equivalence between an unbearable right-wing asshole who shuts down freeways for personal gain, and a military that rightfully requires people meet certain fitness standards.
I’d reeally like to thank you for taking the time for bringing more context, and for dealing with all the America-centric people in the comments.
Thank you for explaining a bunch of relevant things about France (and French/translation) that I definitely didn’t know and wouldn’t have learned otherwise.
On this site, you pretty much the only one. Jezebel/Gawker only considers it rude if you’re generalizing non-white, non-straight, non-male, non-rich people or things. Any other type of generalizing (white, straight, rich male) is completely OK, and often times applauded.
My AP history teacher was a Hungarian national and Olympic fencer who left for the US in ‘41 or ‘42 and said that everyone knew what they were doing with the forced labor. I’m sure, had he stayed, he could’ve confirmed how much worse it got. Trust me, this lady deserves to be prosecuted.
Here’s the only thing that I can think of, and I’m only thinking of it because I was t-boned by someone a couple of weeks ago that blew through a red light. And they didn’t speak a lick of English.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s rude when Jezebel writers demonize an entire region based on a bad legislator? Like it or not, places like Mississippi or accents that you think are ugly are part of this country. We need to open people’s minds, not nitpick or offer up totally irrelevant opinions.
So if English becomes the official language does that mean they’ll start teaching it in schools?
My main problem with your commentary here is that you and raisedbycats, neither of whom are ethnically Jewish/have family that has been affected by the Holocaust, are talking like you seem to think that you know better for the Jewish community than those of us who have dealt with this our entire lives. Honestly, I’m…
2 things:
I don’t know what Karyn is going on about. My family is Jewish - though not religious - and I’ve lived with Jews my whole life. I don’t know anyone who is that concerned about “opening wounds that should be left to heal,” that “wants to move toward healing” or that thinks “we must learn to let go of the anger.” It’s…
