The solution is to sell the car and get out of debt with a cheap used car she can actually afford. The solution is to not buy a new car, because she can’t afford it. As I wrote in the article.
“the most eco friendly way to race” is to not race at all. Expending resources in contests of speed is a novelty and will never be any level of eco friendly and can only really be justified with statements about those resources being consumed elsewhere anyway.
I mean, the most eco friendly way to race would be to put an impossibly hard tire on that doesn’t wear off at all, but then you remove a strategy element of the race.
VIN etching, wheel locks, door edge guards, maybe mud guards, and don’t forget the Tru-Coat. That’s at least $5K right there. /s
Paging Caleb Hammer. Caleb Hammer to the emergency phone please?
“Free to choose”: just like what Nobel prize-winning economist Milton Friedman said about living in a capitalistic society.
The car’s “owner” will probably sue the shop and make $100K which they will use for a downpayment on a million dollar house... financed at 17.5%
Said it before and I’ll say it again. Kia and Hyundai dealerships are NOT used to selling cars at these price points. The clientele is in a much different financial status than the ones coming in to buy a base budget vehicle with ads of getting 2 Kias for $222/mo. It was so frustrating dealing with Hyundai trying to…
I used to be concerned about the mismanagement of people’s finances, but then I came appreciate that the entire economy is built on massive, massive errors in judgement and that without those errors continuing, the economy as we know it would implode. Now I just spend less than I earn and whistle while I work.
That loan screams Ally Financial to me as an F+I person. Probably mid 600's score with solid income to afford that payment on the thing. Better read the fine print on that GAP insurance contract
Those of us that keep our cars forever will understand this the most: pick the color you really want, even if it costs extra. Sure, it sucks that most automakers now charge extra for the “good colors”, but are you really going to miss that measly $495 upcharge every time you stare at your car for the next 15-20 years…
Just bought last year and adaptive cruise was that feature. Since I mostly work remote, the vast majority of my mileage is highway driving and adaptive cruise is just amazing.
All-wheel drive. Every time I’ve made the mistake of foregoing AWD to save a few bucks at purchase, it’s cost me at least what I saved when i go to re-sell/trade it in.
Easy! The S10 Blazer, specifically the ZR2 version. Every single owner I have ever met is a dipshit douchebag idiot. Camaro, BMW, Range Rover drivers? They’re a mixture, with certain stereotypes applied, but it’s not unanimous.
The Nissan Altima is the obvious answer, but there’s another that I’ve observed in my commute: Dodge Chargers. They’re getting up there in years and don’t hold value. As a result, they’re landing in buy-here pay-here lots and being snatched up by idiots.
Rep. Bennie Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi, voted for the ban on Wednesday and has an account but has never posted a video.
Why is Giz against this?
Three Politicians Who Voted for the TikTok ‘Ban’ Have Active Accounts
I have an active account and I also hope it gets banned because it sucks. It’s 90% bots anyway.
