As I recall, they kind of address this within the show. Pam saw the video and explicitly asked that it not happen at her wedding and everyone from DM did it to them anyway, cause that's just how they are.

I just recently watched back through the whole series, and it is much better than it generally gets credit for. One of those rare sitcoms that also had a lot of heart and managed not to feel put on. And it was a remake of a British sitcom that is to this day really beyond compare. I'd say they accomplished a lot.

He also gave the world Karl Pilkington and arguably popularized the whole medium of podcasts.

Maybe not to her face…

Yeah, but I am operating under the assumption that everything in the OASIS will be some type of CGI avatar. Maybe not?

This is pretty perfect, assuming he's just doing the voice. Isn't the character supposed to be high school aged?

"I'M THE KING, I'M MAD! I WANT THE NEWS FROM MY KINGDOM!"

I like the first two albums a lot, but to me BOLA is the culmination of everything I loved about them as a band.

I've been spinning Battle of Los Angeles a lot lately too. Probably my favorite from their catalog. Renegades is often looked at as throwaway but I really enjoyed that as well.

He didn't rent it shoes, dude. He's not buying it a fucking beer.

I love how long they kept that going, just to illustrate a character trait in Phil of taking things too far for too long. Most shows would not keep their lead character looking that absurd for so many episodes. Imagine if you tuned in for the first time over the last few weeks.

That's one of the strongest selling points I've seen for the film thus far - that you could debate either side with multiple points and counter-points, and no matter which you choose, you could be technically "right". Civil War was and remains one of the best big event arcs in recent-ish Marvel history for that exact

To be fair, though: Jackson Browne wrote that song. When he was like 16 or something, which is both absurd and amazing. Granted, the Nico version is the one I prefer. And Elliott Smith did a good cover too.

Glad to see Sam in one of these. Haven't seen her perform in a few years, but I always like it when these go more personal than just a song that's broadly considered to be awful. Great job, article series most people hate!

On Saturday, I crossed an item off my bucket list and finally saw Jon Brion perform a show at Largo. I've been wanting to catch one of these shows for nearly 15 years, and it did not disappoint. It was a joy watching him work, and I plan to go back every month that I can make it.

Your avatar is what I imagine that kid looks like, so you still managed username/avatar/comment synergy one way or another.

This reminds me of Louis CK's story about Jizanthapus.

2016 is making me seriously reconsider Randy Quaid's theories about a cabal of celebrity assassins that we all laughed off a few years back…

The best bit comes at the end, when Hank realizes they were laughing at him as well, not with him. Sid had the last laugh from beyond the grave.

This is a poor way to protest the law. Louis CK recently did several shows in Asheville, which he had planned but kept secret up until the law passed. Instead of cancelling (which wouldn't have made much of a statement since the shows were still a secret until the day of), he gave all the money he'd have made to
