I read this comment and spent about 10 minutes arguing with myself over it.
The practical explanation would be that something gets labelled “watertight” based on how it performs against where you expect water to come from. Speaking from the construction world, we call exterior glass “watertight” if water can’t get in

“Reliable” and then, I have had to replace an engine mount and water pump on a sub 100k miles car. Yeaaaaah, about that.

True.

This is begging for a hot wagon version (or hot hatch, if Kia prefers). I’d like mine with 3 pedals in the box please, and a turbo engine that actually likes to be revved up to the redline !

EVs will cost the same as ICE cars, because automakers plan to really gouge on the cost of the latter. Prices go up, never down.

That previous article had a questionable premise, because the average ICE vehicle is not comparable to the average EV (basically, a compact crossover). Pickups and larger CUVs/SUVs are a much larger share of the ICE market than the EV market.

Good news! In a couple years the price of EVs will be the same as ICE vehicles!

I know there is a lot of disdain from EV owners especially for PHEVs because of the dual drivetrain, but they make a huge amount of sense. There are arguments about which is green, but set that aside. The real benefit is having the PHEV as the “first” car in any household. It can run on electric for most local

Exhaust manifolds? That’s cute. Since 2011, any new (Pentastar/GME/etc) Chrysler engine has integrated exhaust manifolds: cats or turbo’s bolt up to the block instead.

This looks like a hatchback. Is it a hatchback?

Happens all the time, unfortunately.  Do they teach personal finance in schools yet?  They sure as hell didn’t when I was in school.  And my parents were simply a lesson in what-not-to-do.

Long live the hatch:

How did this happen ?

Did they remember the price has to be small too?

It ain’t 2016 anymore

But as an investigative, undercover vehicle, you’d think a Fed would want something a little less… noticeable. The Wagoneer L is a full inch longer than a Chevy Suburban

I would be fine looking at getting a new car if they would stop jacking up the interest rates. The only reason I haven’t traded in my truck to get something better is my interest rate is almost subterranean.

“With demand for near-new vehicles on the decline, used car values are depreciating similarly to the way they did before the pandemic,”
