I bought a 1967 MG Midget when I was 16. The shell was rusted through. I bought a 1969 Sprite when I was 18. Over the next 6 years I restored and merged the two into Bridget the Spridget. Nearly 30 years later, I still have her, having driven it cross country with my girlfriend (now wife) the day I finished the

I’ve been fortunate to obtain my dream car as my first car. As soon as I was able to afford it, I picked up this gem. I looked a long time before I stumbled onto the ad in the local auto trader mag. The day it was posted was the day I picked her up. I was 19 at the time. She’s been with me ever since. It’s been 20yrs

I have a Porsche 914 that my mom ordered new in 1973. She actually drove it as a daily driver for a good amount of time as well. In the mid 2000s, right around the time I could start driving with a permit, I got it fixed up and have been driving it ever since. If my kid is lucky, they may get it (unless I decide to

I’ve posted this before, but it’s worth repeating.

I have a 1980 VW Rabbit Truck that is a “forever car”. I bought it from a guy in eastern WA without engine or interior during my senior year in college. Stripped it down, repainted it quickly, put a 1.6 Diesel engine in it, converted to run on veggie oil, and drove cross country on a huge trip that landed me in NYC.

I think you mean “correct”. Webster came and “simplified” your English for you simple Americans, but the rest of the world has the cognition to handle properly spelled words.

Lol are you really not aware that UK English spells some things differently?

Some years ago on a road trip with my then-girlfriend I played music on car’s stereo from my phone via aux cable. When, for some reason, I decided it was enough music I disconnected the phone. When I did that radio kicked in for a moment before I turned it off. My girlfriend couldn’t understand how come there still

Well you are partially right on that last one. The Series and Engine size ARE the basis for the numbers, however - ‘i’ doesn’t mean inline, it means ‘injection’.

“Hey honey, gotta work on the car today. This should only take me an hour or so, and I’ve got everything I need already.”

Both the Civic’s 1.8 and the rx7's 13b start to beg for more at that point. Neither engine begs for help unless it’s under 2k.

The rockets know they need to get out of Florida, and away from Florida-Man, as fast as possible. Imagine you want to run to get in shape. You’ll go from a jog. Fine. Whatever. You’ll lope along. Whoopty-doo. But imagine if you’re being chased by a pack of rabid pit bulls. You’ll hall ass. That’s what it’s like

Boohoo, I have the lowest labour tax and highest income per capita in Europe :)

it’s always annoying when the discussion is about fuel taxes and there is usually someone who will chime in that they can’t be raised because it will hurt the poor. You then look at charts like these and it’s easy to see that there are much poorer people paying a hell of a lot more in taxes and would be thankful to

My girlfriend (later wife) bought a ‘90 Sentra new. It had this cool turbo button that was mysteriously marked as “A/C.” When we engaged the button, the “A/C” light would turn off and we could drive uphill at amazing speeds, actually eclipsing the speed limit.

There’s no reason that the customer interaction involved with the purchase of a $15,000 Hyundai/Kia should be any different than that for a $150,000 Benz.

There’s a huge difference between representing bad guys who committed crimes before you came on the scene, and representing bad guys who are engaged in a crime you are facilitating through your representation. The latter is what was going on in much of this.

To be fair he did say early on that Trogstad was 50 miles southeast of Oslo, Norway’s capital city, and most of the world either know this already or just think, ‘Norway, okay’, and move on.

Super sad but let me say this. THIS is the reason the auto community needs to come together and be LESS judgmental and MORE welcoming. This idea isn’t “stupid” it’s just that this individual didn’t know what he didn’t know. You can’t just “make up” physics... there are reasons cages are designed the way they are.
